In this work,the antibacterial modification of PE(polyethylene)?ABS(poly acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene)with five kinds of nano silver antibacterial agents(AEM5700-A,AEM5700-TB,RHA-S,RHA-M and RHA-T2),four kinds of silver antibacterial agents(PC520S,PC18S,PC160S and PC100Z)were investigated.The antibacterial properties,sterilization durable performance,mechanical performance and stable performance of the composites were systematically studied through bacteriostatic ring,soaking,electronic universal testing machine,Izod impact tester,thermo gravimetric analyzer,DSC and SEM.The results were as follows:(1)It showed that PE/AEM5700-A?PE/RHA-S blends had good antibacterial properties to staphylococcus aureus,escherichia coli.PE/RHA-M blends had good antibacterial effect on staphylococcus aureus.And the more amount of antibacterial agents,the greater inhibition zone diameter of materials were,which showed the the antibacterial effect was better.(2)PE/PC160S?PE/PC100Z blends showed good antimicrobial properties to staphylococcus aureus,the tensile strength decreased,while the low temperature impact strength increased.When the amount was 0.7 phr,the inhibition zone diameter was respectively 17.2 mm and 11.1 mm.(3)The inhibition zone diameter of ABS/AEM5700-A blends presented a first increases and then decreases trend with the increasing constant.NWhen the adding amount was 0.7 phr,the bacteriostatic ring diameter was 23.7 mm,at which the antibacterial performance was better.(4)ABS/RHA-S blends showed good antibacterial resistance to staphylococcus aureus.Compared with the pure ABS,the tensile strength,impact strength and bending strength increased.(5)When PE/AEM5700-A?ABS/AEM5700-A blends were in deionized water,the content of silver ion in solutions first increased then decreased and then gradually tended to be stable with the increase of immersion time.In terms of PE/RHA-S?ABS/RHA-S blends,the content of silver ion in solutions decreased slowly.ABS?PE and AEM5700-A?RHA-S blends still had certain antibacterial properties for staphylococcus aureus after immersed for even 240 h,which showed that the blends had antimicrobial durability to some extent.
