With the rapid development of automobile industry,the environmental pollution caused by vehicle exhaust emissions becomes more serious.Organic sulfur compounds in the fuel has been recognized as a major source of sulfur oxides which contributes to air pollution.The sulfur oxides not only ruin the environmental but also do harm to the human's life.Therefore,developing efficient catalysts for the oxidative desulfurization of fuel oil is significant.In the research of the catalytic oxidative desulfurization of fuel oil,the ionic liquids based 'liquid-liquid' catalytic system has been proved to be an efficient method.Based on such two phased catalytic system,efficient and stable sulfur removal ratio of the catalytic reaction can be acheived.It should also be noticed that ionic liquid played double role during the catalytic process.It is not only the catalyst of the oxidative desulfurization.but also act as the efficient extractant for the sulphone.which is the production of the oxidative desulfurization.Therefore,the reactivity and purification of the ionic liquids is necessary before the liquid catalyst is resued.For this reason,a novel heterogenous catalytic system based on polymeric ionic liquid microgel was firstly introduced to the oxidative desulfurization of fuel oil.The main content of dissertation was summarized as follow:(1)Three kinds of polymeric ionic liquid based microgels,such as poly(ViEtlm+Br-),poly(ViHIm+BF4-)and poly(ViEtIm+HSO4-)microgels were sythesized via emulsion polymerization.Then,these three microgels were utilized as solid catalysts for the the oxidative desulfurization of fuel oil.According the experimental results,poly(ViEtIm+Br-)and poly(ViHIm+BF4-)_microgels showed poor catalytic efficiencies.However,the poly(ViEtIm+HSO4-)microgel exhibited certain catalytic efficiency.(2)Fe3O4 based magnetic polymeric ionic liquid microgel was firstly designed and synthesized via emulsion polymerization.Based on the ion-exchangable raction of the out-layer polymeric ionic liquid,phosphotungstic anion can then be immoblized onto the microgel matrix,thus made the formation of novel functionalized composite with sandwich structure(Fe3O4-PILs-PW12O40).Such compoiste was then utilized as heterogenous catalyst for the oxidative desulfurization of fuel oil.The experimental results displayed that the catalyst exhibited high catalytic efficiency.Furthermore,because of the magnetic property and the excellent stability,the catalyst can be also resued.Even after 8 recycle,the catalytic efficiency can still reach 91%.
