The positive effect of daytime short sleep is gradually being paid attention and it is believed that nap can effectively relieve fatigue state.Most current research mainly concentrated more in the night sleep position,pillow shape,materials,etc.,and less in nap product comfort research.In this article,the combination of pressure distribution test,surface electromyography,subjective evaluation and objective experiment was used to analyze the effect of different height + angle of the nocturnal pillow on the comfort of the individual under nap environment.This article first investigates the nap habits of the office crowd.The results suggested that most of them would like to take a nap mainly with the posture of side nap.According to habitual sleeping posture,the 3 x2 within-subject experiment was designed and tested for comfort.Pressure distribution test results show that compared to the front on the side,side of the sleep for the individual face pressure distribution is more dispersed and more difficult to cause respiratory problems,and people feel more comfortable.Based on this,side sleeping position was chosen to further test comfort with different the nap pillow type.The myoelectricity experiment selects 23 testees to research on the influence of side sleeping posture on trapezius muscle fatigue,and selects the IEMG and RMS characteristic in time-domain analysis to compare the comfort of pincushion combination for afternoon nap.By using variance analysis for multiple comparison of characteristic value,it is found that there is obvious difference between each group of samples(p<0.05).And through independent samples t test on height and angle,it is found that there is obvious difference between heights(p<0.05)while little difference between angles(p>0.05).It is also found out in the research that there is obvious difference between the male and female;overall degree of feeling fatigue of the female is higher than that of the male,and the female have a more obvious requirement for height than the male and pillow height of 12 cm is more fit for them.Combining the subjective evaluation results,it is found out that the pincushion of 10cm+15° and 10cm+25° shows a relatively high overall comfort,while that of 8cm+15° and 8cm+25° shows the lowest comfort.The pincushion of 10cm+15° and 12cm+15° shows obvious gender difference in comfort,and the best comfortable pincushion for the male is 10cm+15° while for the female is 12cm+15°.The pillow height of 8cm is the most unfit for afternoon nap,and 10 cm and 12 cm show a better comfort comparatively.However,the experimental result of angle is different from the expected result to some extent,which may be related to the inadequate experimental samples.Integrating the advantages and disadvantages comparisons on pincushion for afternoon nap researched in the Paper,it can be found out that the pillow height for afternoon nap plays an important role in improving individual’s fatigue degree due to lying face down,and comparatively,angle shows a more obvious advantage;as for future design of pincushion for afternoon nap,the influences of differences between the male and female should also be taken into account;the pillow for afternoon nap designed for the female shall be appropriately increased in height and the most ideal pillow height is between 10 cm and 12 cm.
