The Rose damascena essential oil from Zhejiang and rose essential oil from Yunnan which are extracted by steam distillation are treated as the raw material.Compared to ISO9842:2003 standard,GC/MS was used to analysis the differences of two kinds of rose essential oil ingredients.Nerol and citronellol are major components of rose essential oil.To study the bacteriostatic ability of rose essential oil,Nerol and citronellol were tested by experiments.And then the antioxidant capacity of rose essential oil,Huyou essential oil and osmanthus oil were explored.During the storage time,the effect of content on aromatic components caused by different storage temperatures and illumination were studied.The main research results were followed:(1)Compared to IS09842:2003 standard,the results showed that there are no significant difference between two kinds of rose essential oil in terms of appearance and color.But there are significant difference for physical and chemical indicators,such as rotation,diopter and the melting point.The aromatic components of the two kinds of rose essential oil has been qualitative and quantitative analysised by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry technology,the results showed that there are significant differences of rose aromatic components between different breeds and strains.Rose damascena essential oil of Zhejiang and red rose essential oil of Yunnan contain different kinds of ethanols,mainly for citronellol,geraniol,linalool,nerol,etc.There are about 34.16%citronellol of Rose damascena essential but only 11.55%for Yunnan rose essential.Rose damascena essential oil from Zhejiang is consistent with international standards,but a far distance for Yunnan rose essential oil.There are nine kinds of alkanes for Rose damascena essential oil and Yunnan rose essential oil,but accounting for 18.50%of Zhejiang,9.05%of Yunnan.Rose oxide is a kind of main scent component of rose oil.There are 0.39%and 0.13%for Rose damascena essential oil and Yunnan rose essential oil,respectively.Followed ISO9842:2003 standard,compared to the content of ethanol,geraniol,nerol,geraniol,benzyl ethanol,17 alkanes,19 alkanes and 21 alkane to international brand,Rose damascena essential oil is more in line with the international standard than Yunnan rose essential oil.But the content of geranyl and nerol is far lower than the international standard,benzene ethanol was even not checked out,because benzene ethanol is easily soluble in water.From all of these data,it is founded that there is a big gap between domestic rose essential oil and international big brands.(2)It knows that Nerol and citronellol are major components of rose essential oil analysised by GC/MS.So Rose damascena rose essential oil,Nerol and beta-citronellol were used as bacteriostatic agent.When Rose damascena rose essential oil was treated as bacteriostatic agent for escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus,the minimum bacteriostatic concentration(MIC)is 5.0 and 10.0 ?L/mL,respectively.Through the observation method,the minimum bacteriostasis concentration was determined about 10.0 ?L/mL for penicillium.When Nerol was treated as bacteriostatic agent for escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus,the minimum bacteriostatic concentration(MIC)is 2.5 and 5.0?L/mL,respectively.Through the observation method,the minimum bacteriostasis concentration was determined about 2.5?L/mL for penicillium.When citronellol was treated as bacteriostatic agent for escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus,the minimum bacteriostatic concentration(MIC)is 5.0 and 5.0?L/mL,respectively.Through the observation method,the minimum bacteriostasis concentration was determined about 10.0?L/mL for penicillium.The minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)for escherichia coli,staphylococcus aureus and penicillium are 10.0,40.0 and 10.0?L/mL treated by rose essential oil.The minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)for escherichia coli,staphylococcus aureus and penicillium are 5.0,20.0 and 5.0?L/mL treated by Nerol.The minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)for escherichia coli,staphylococcus aureus and penicillium are 10.0,20.0 and 20.0?L/mL treated by beta-citronellol.The experimental results showed that zhejiang rose essential oil,Nerol and beta-citronellol can not only inhibit escherichia coli,staphylococcus aureus and penicillium but also cause completely sterilization.(3)Compared to the antioxidant activity for DPPH,hydroxyl radical,superoxide anion and the ability to resist lipid peroxidation from Rose damascena essential oil,huyou essential oil and osmanthus oil.The experimental results showed that rose essential oil,huyou essential oil and osmanthus oil have strong antioxidant activity and the antioxidant activity of rose essential oil is much better than huyou essential oils and osmanthus oil.When Rose damascena essential oil was treated as raw material.The effect on content of different components were studied by different storage temperatures and light.The change trend on content of rose aromatic components in the process of storage time were studied when GC/MS was used to identify the separation,internal standard method was used for quantitative analysis.Because there are a large numbers of aromatic components in rose essential oil,so the following eight kinds of materials(linalool,rose oxide,citronellol,nerol,esters,geraniol,farnesol and alkane)were explored.The experimental results showed that temperature and light have significant influence on aromatic components content of rose essential oil.Linalool,citronellol and esters are less sensitive to temperature and light.Under the high temperature,the content of linalool decreased by 30.00%,and the maximum increasement content of citronellol and ester are 28.45%.and 20.81%,respectively.Rose ether,nerol,geraniol,carbohydrate and alkanes are susceptible to temperature.Under the high temperature condition,the maximum decreasement rate of rose oxide is 78.42%,and the maximum increasement content of nerol,geraniol,farnesol and alkanes are 108.00%,182.05%,50.00%and 52.76%,respectively.
