In recent years,the advanced material technology that improve the plasticity of aluminum alloy has become the trend of automobile lightweight development.Grain refinement of 6000 series aluminum alloy is of great significance to improve its plastic forming performance and strength.This study mainly aims to study microstructure,texture and mechanical properties of solution and aging 6016 aluminum alloy by FSP.In this study,characterization techniques such as optical microscope(OM),electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD),x-ray spectrometer(XRF),micro hardness and universal tensile test were employed.Microstructure,texture and mechanical properties of aluminum alloy were investigated on different stirring speed.solid solution 6016 aluminum alloy could be refined,homogenized and densified with rotation rate of 800 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min by FSP.After dynamic recrystallization of grain,the grains are equiaxed grains.In crown zone(CZ),stir zone(SZ),Advancing side(AS)and Retreating Side(RS)zones,the strongest fiber texture distribution in PD<001> of CZ,AS and RS.The ND direction showed a weak fiber texture on four zones.The main texture of CZ is the same as texture of SZ.Texture volume fraction of CZ is slightly stronger than texture volume fraction of SZ.there are no {112}<111> Copper texture in the main texture of AS,no {001}<110> Cube texture in the main of RS.The elongation increased significantly at room temperature.the hardness of the alloy decreases first and then increases from the extension of TD.Microstructure and properties of aging state 6016 aluminum alloy could be optimized with rotation rate of 800 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min by FSP.After dynamic recrystallization of grain,the grains are equiaxed grains,and the second phase is dissolved in the tissue by FSP.In crown zone(CZ),stir zone(SZ),Advancing side(AS)and Retreating Side(RS)zones,there are no {236}<385> Brass and {123}<634> S texture in the main texture of SZ,but {001}<100> Cube texture in the main of SZ.Texture volume fraction of CZ is slightly stronger than texture volume fraction of SZ.there are {124}<211> R,{123}<634> S,{025}<100> Brass and {236}<385> Brass texture in the main texture of AS.Texture volume fraction of AS is stronger than texture volume fraction of RS.The elongation increased significantly at room temperature.the hardness of the alloy increases first and then decreases from the extension of TD.Microstructure and properties of 6016 aluminum alloy could be optimized with rotation rate of 600 rpm,800rpm,1000 rpm,1200rpm,and traverse speed of 100mm/min by FSP.The grain size is similar,the second phase is not produced,and the metal is not affected by the burr defect,the flash defect and the keyhole defect.the strongest fiber texture distributes in TD<335>?<535> with rotation rate of 1000 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min.the strongest surface texture distributes in ND(111)with rotation rate of 600 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min.there are {025}<100> Brass,{001}<100> Cube,{011}<100> Goss,{001}<110> Cube,{112}<111> Copper,{111}<112> Brass and {111}<110> Brass texture in the main texture with rotation rate of 1200 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min,and the texture complex changed.The elongation and tensile strength are good with rotation rate of 800 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min,high hardness could be obtained with rotation rate of 1200 rpm and traverse speed of 100mm/min.
