With the development of scientific and technological progress and industrialization,the ecological environment is getting worse,more and more waste and pollutants into the natural ecological environment,which has a serious impact on the environment and human health.With the increasing consumption demand for the shoes,the development of shoemaking industry is getting better,but there are also many problems,the waste produced in the process of making shoes caused serious environmental pollution and ecological damage.In this dissertation,the life cycle assessment(LCA)was used to obtain the inventory data with the adhesive shoes(single shoes,sandals,cotton shoes)and the molding shoes(combat boots,cotton boots)as the object of this study.Through the on-the-spot investigation,it did the qualitative and quantitative study of the input of the material and energy and the environment discharge about the cutting process,the vamp process and the sole process of the five kinds of shoes.Eco-indicator 99 and CML 2001 evaluation method were applied to do the life cycle impact assessment on the five kinds of shoes.Then The results were compared and analyzed.The main results were as follows:(1)The single shoes' production needs 193.1g leather,339.2g adjuvant materials,26.0g adhesives,and the power consumption of 0.2569 kwh,get 428.7 g of finished single shoes,17.4g of the adhesive waste gas and 101.9g of the solid waste;The sandals' production needs 153.9g leather,199.3g adjuvant materials,32.0g adhesives,and the power consumption of 0.2446 kwh,get 313.5g of finished sandals,18.4 g of the adhesive waste gas and 63.2g of the solid waste;The cotton shoes' production needs 774.3g leather,434.9g adjuvant materials,59.4g adhesives,and the power consumption of 0.4585 kwh,get 873.4g of finished cotton shoes,40.7g of the adhesive waste gas and 278.9g of the solid waste;The combat boots' production needs 642.9g leather,505.6 g adjuvant materials,121.5g adhesives,and the power consumption of 1.4494 kwh,get 890.0g of finished combat boots,85.2g of the adhesive waste gas and 396.6g of the solid waste;The cotton boots' production needs 559.9g leather,128.8g adjuvant materials,1231.5g adhesives,and the power consumption of 1.439 kwh,get 1280.0g of finished cotton boots,862.2g of the adhesive waste gas and 339.1g of the solid waste.(2)A LCA study of five kinds of leather shoes was conducted by using the Eco-indicator99 method,and the results showed that: the maximum environmental load was caused by the sole process of single shoes,accounting for about 38.9%.The effect of three processes on the environment is mainly from the leather,the power consumption,the adhesive and the waste gas generated by the volatilization of adhesive;the maximum environmental impact contribution rate was caused by the vamp process of sandals,accounting for about 57.6%.The environment load of sandals is mainly from the waste gas generated by the volatilization of adhesive,consumption and the solid waste;the maximum environmental load was caused by the vamp process of cotton shoes,about 42.3%,mainly from the leather scrap,the adhesive,waste gas and the power consumption;the maximum environmental load was caused by the sole process of combat boots,about 49.6%,mainly from the power consumption of molding,the leather scrap,the molded rubber and other raw materials,the adhesive and waste gas;the maximum environmental load was caused by the sole process of cotton boots,about 54%,mainly from the adhesive such as antistatic adhesive,the waste gas,the solid waste and the power consumption.A LCA study of five kinds of leather shoes was conducted by using the CML2001 method,and the results showed that: for the single shoes,the maximum environmental load was caused by the cutting process,according for about 47.2%;for the sandals,the maximum environmental load was caused by the vamp process,about 55.5%,for cotton shoes are cutting process,about 43.9%;the maximum environmental load was caused by the sole process of combat boots,about 51.9%;for the cotton boots are sole process too,about 49.9%.(3)Eco-indicator 99 and CML 2001 evaluation method were applied to do the life cycle impact assessment on the five kinds of shoes.Based on evaluation methods,and process,the evaluation results of five kinds of leather shoes were compared and analyzed.The results showed that the main types of five kinds of leather shoes in the production process were fossil fuels,carcinogens,respirable inorganic compounds,HTP,MAETP and POCP.The comparison results of ecological index values were combat boots(124mPt)>cotton boots(122mpt)>sandals(48.5mPt)> cotton shoes(47.8mPt)> single shoes(36.3mPt).The impact of leather shoes of molding process on the environment was more serious.For the adhesive shoes,sandals had the biggest impact and the single shoes had the least impact.Based on the life cycle assessment of five kinds of leather shoes,the two methods were compared in this paper.We can use the Eco-indicator99(terminal orientation)and CML2001(midpoint orientation)to get the tree structure of environmental load,characterization and normalization results,in contrast,the Eco-indicator99 had the two steps of the weighted and single value.In the Eco-indicator 99,11 impact type were divided into three damage categories.The specific classification of the damage to the environment was more concretely,by contrast,the 10 impact types of the CML2001 were focused on the toxicity of substances,including human toxicity,aquatic,terrestrial and marine ecological toxicity.The two kinds of evaluation had advantages and disadvantages and the combination of the two methods was more conducive to a more complete evaluation of the five kinds of leather shoes.(4)According to the evaluation results,the suggestions of cleaner production in the shoe factory of leather shoes production process were proposed.This will propitious to improve the utilization of resources and strengthen the environmental management of shoe factories.Meanwhile,it could reduce the negative impact on the environment and promote the sustainable development of leather shoes manufacturing industry.Then it promoted the research and application of the footwear industry life cycle assessment,and it was conducive to the further development of LCA research methods and the establishment of LCA database in our country.
