Carbon dioxide emissions has caused global warming. Reduction of CO2 emission must be enforced. The solution adsorption is the conventional methods for the CO2 separation and capture, but there are many drawbacks like high energy consumption and corrosion of equipment. Based on the above problems, a new amine functionalized hybrid material was proposed. In this thesis, porous carbon nanotubes-polystyrene (CNTs-PS) hybrid materials was prepared via concentrated emulsion templating, and it can be used as CO2 adsorbent after modification with organic amines. The main contents include :In order to improve the dispersion of CNTs in water, polyethyleneimine was grafted onto the surface of carboxylated carbon nanotubes by acylation reaction. PEI can be observed by transmission electron microscopy. The grafting amount of PEI was determined by thermogravimetric analysis and elemental analysis. It can be determined by infrared spectrum that PEI was grafted on the surface of CNTs with chemical bond. The solubility of the grafted CNTs in water was up to 9.5mg/g H20.It was found that the higher volume fraction of the dispersed phase was,the worse the compress strength of the PS prepared by the concentrated emulsion templating. The amount of emulsifier has an influence on the compressive properties of PS. Under the experimental conditions, when the content of emulsifier is 25wt%, the compress strength of PS is the best. The soluble CNTs were doped into PS by "one step method". The compressive properties of CNTs-PS hybrid polyHIPE were increased by 3.5 times. In this thesis, a new type of CO2 porous adsorbent was obtained by loading CNTs-PS with PEI(Mw=600) and the adsorption properties were studied. When the CO2 pressure was 1 bar, adsorption capacity of adsorbent loaded with 70%PEI reached the maximum value of 5.02mmol/g adsorbent at 75℃The adsorption selectivity of CNTs-PS-70%PEI in 10% CO2/N2 was 398.In the 10%CO2/N2 environment, the adsorption/desorption rate of the adsorbent was studied. It was found that the adsorption capacity in 10min. The optimum adsorption temperature is 75℃ and the optimum desorption temperature is 110℃. The adsorbent can be quickly desorbed in 10min at 110℃. The adsorption capacity of CNTs-PS-70% PEI was decreased by 4.9%under 30 adsorption cycles, which indicated that the adsorbent had good stability and could be recycled.
