In this study,polyethylene glycol acrylate(PEGA)with active bonds and crosslinked solid-solid phase change material are synthesized via combination reaction.The heat-storage fiber of low crosslinked PEGA gel/PP is prepared through melt-spinning with low crossliking gel and polypropylene.In addition,the network of polyethylene glycol(PEG)is fastened by the copolymerization of N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide(HAM)and PEGA.The heat-storage material is synthesized via compounding the P(PEGA-HAM)/PEG and PP.FT-IR,POM,SEM,DSC,Temperature recorder,TG and Single Fiber Electronic Tensile Strength Tester were used to investigate the monomer of PEGA,the crosslinking gel of PEGA,the multiple composite material of P(PEGA-HAM)/PEG,the structural characteristics,crystallization properties,thermal and mechanical characteristics.The results indicate that PEGA has a characteristic absorption peak of bonds.The cross extinction of crystal is obvious under POM.The crystallization peak is at 46.53?.The crystallization enthalpy is 163.21J/g.The degradation starting at 230? shows a better heat resistance.PEGA is provided with perfect ability of heat storage by cooling curve.With the decrease of crosslinking degree of gels,the ability of PEGA crystallization and phase change enthalpy increase.PEGA has a good thermal stability below 300?.PEGA gel with different crosslinking degrees shows different thermal resistances.The phase change enthalpy of P(PEGA-HAM)/PEG changes with the blending components.The crystallization peak shows various levels of points peak phenomenon.TG indicates that the thermal resistance of PEGA is inferior to pure PEG4000.The heat resistance of P(PEGA-HAM)/PEG is between PEGA and pure PEG4000.The surface of low crosslinking PEGA/PP heat-storage fiber is smooth.The phase change materials are homogeneous in the fiber.The crystallization enthalpy of the fiber is 13.80J/g.The breaking strength of composite fiber increases with the content of phase change material and decreases when the content reaching a significant extent,but the breaking strength is still higher than that of pure PP fiber.The maximum strength is 5.228cN/dtex when the total content is 13%.When the content of phase change medium increases,the moisture regain of fiber increases.The surface of P(PEGA-HAM)/PEG is also smooth.The phase change medium is well-distributed in the fiber.The melting enthalpy is 13.18J/g.The strength tendency and moisture regain are similar to low crosslinking PEGA/PP heat-storage fiber.The maximum strength is 4.717cN/dtex when the content of medium is 9%.A highly reactive phase change monomer and great heat resistant solid-solid phase change material are prepared in this study.The phase change fiber can be prepared by traditional method of melt-spinning.The fiber with simple craft and low costs has great prospects in application.
