The high concentration dyes in discharged wastewater not only affect beauty of the natural environment seriously, not also endanger human health potentially. Therefore, the treatment of dye wastewater has become one of the focuses in nowday society. At present, seeking efficient,low-cost,no secondary pollution adsorbent for dyes wastewater has attracted much attention. In recent years,low-cost biomass materials and some biomass castoff are favored by researchers. In this paper, two kinds of biomass materials, such as surplus sludge and camphor leaves, were used as adsorbents and its adsorption performances to dyes were studied.(a)The residual sludge discharged from the batch Sequencing Batch Reactor(SBR)was sterilized by freeze-drying to prepare the excess sludge. The adsorption performance of the residual sludge to the dye and the adsorption performance of the residual sludge were studied. The experimental results show that the residual sludge has selective adsorption on cationic dyes.In the range of pH 2.0-7.0,the removal rate of malachite green increased with the increase of pH value, and the maximum removal rate reached 86% at pH 7.0.Residual sludge on the adsorption process of malachite green follows the pseudo-second-order kinetic model, and the diffusion within the particle is not the only rate-limiting step. The Langmuir isotherms model is more suitable for describing the adsorption equilibrium parameters of residual sludge adsorption of malachite green.Excess sludge adsorption of malachite green is a spontaneous process of heat absorption.(b)In this paper, the camphor leaves were washed and dried and crushed to obtain 100-300 mesh camphor leaf powder(CLP),and the properties of camphor powder adsorption dyes were studied. The results showed that the adsorption performance of CLP to Methyl violet(MV)was strong. In the range of pH 2.0-10.0,the percentage of adsorption of MV leaves increased with the increase of pH value. When the dosage of CLP was 0.6 g/L and the initial concentration of MV was 50 mg/L,the maximum adsorption percentage was 75%.The adsorption process of CLP is consistent with the Pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir isotherms model, and is a spontaneous endothermic process.(c)The camphor leaf powder was activated by 0.1 mol/L sodium hydroxide.Compared with CLP,NaOH-camphor leaf powder(N-CLP)on the adsorption of MV enhanced performance. In the range of pH 2.0-10.0,the removal rate of MV leaves increased with the increase of pH value. When the dosage of N-CLP was 0.4 g/L and the initial concentration of MV was 50 mg/L,the maximum removal rate was 94%.N-CLP adsorption MV process also conforms to the Pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir isotherms model, and is also a spontaneous endothermic process.
