A Higee device,as a new type of high efficient process intensification device,which creates a high gravity environment up to several hundred times larger than the gravitational acceleration and greatly increase the gas-liquid specific interracial area and intensify the process of mass transfer,has been successfully used in industrial process of absorption,extraction,distillation separation.The rotor is the most core components of the rotating bed.The article designs a new type of compound rotor rotating bed device.It is characteristic that the compound rotor is divided into two parts,the medial part and lateral medial part is multilayer porous corrugated disk with the rotating disk turn combined with stationary disk of static,there is a certain gap between every 2 layer corrugated discs,constitute a "S" type of gas and liquid flow channel.Compound rotor outer part is zigzag rotor rotating bed.The experiments of gas-liquid interfacial area(ae)and liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient(kL)of novel compound rotor rotating bed were measured with the system of aqueous NaOH solution and mixed gas of air,the gas-side mass-transfer coefficient(kG)of novel compound rotor rotating bed was measured using a stripping of ethanol from an ethanol-water mixture by air,the gas phase pressure drop of novel compound rotor rotating bed were measured with air-water system.The effects of rotational speed,liquid volumetric flow rate and gas volumetric flow rate on performance of novel compound rotor rotating bed were investigated.Compared with the experimental data of novel compound rotor rotating bed and rotating zigzag bed.The experimental results show that:(1)The gas-liquid interfacial area(ae),liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient(kL)and gas-side mass-transfer coefficient(kG)of novel compound rotor rotating bed increased as the rotational speed n,gas volumetric flow rate G and liquid volumetric flow rate L increase.The values of ae,kL and kG respectively increases by 292m2/m3~880.5m2/m3,0.0014m/s~0.00264m/s and 0.016m/s ~0.062m/s.(2)Comparison gas-liquid interfacial area(ae),liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient(kL)and gas-side mass-transfer coefficient(kG)of novel compound rotor rotating bed with rotating zigzag bed based on the same equipment parameters and operating conditions,the values of ae,kL and kG of novel compound rotor rotating bed were as about 2.5 times as rotating zigzag bed.(3)Comparison gas-liquid interfacial area(ae),liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient(kL)and gas-side mass-transfer coefficient(kG)of novel compound rotor rotating bed with various RPB rotors based on the same equipment parameters and operating conditions,The values of ae of novel compound rotor rotating bed highest than those of PRB equipped with multiliquid-inlet rotor,blades packing and baffles,and are lower than those of other RPB rotors.The values of k L of novel compound rotor rotating bed were the highest in all RPBs.The values of kG of novel compound rotor rotating bed are close to conventional PRB based on a small amount of fluid volumetric.(4)The dry and wet bed pressure drop of novel compound rotor rotating bed increased as gas volumetric flow rate G,the dry bed pressure drop slowly increased as the rotational speed n,the wet bed pressure drop increased as the rotational speed n,comparison of pressure drop of novel compound rotor rotating bed and rotating zigzag,the values of pressure dry drop were as about 30%~42% and 52%~70%. |
