Atmospheric sulfur dioxide pollution is an environmental problem to be solved,wet desulfurization is currently the most widely used desulfurization method,in which magnesium desulfurization is a promising technology.Magnesium hydroxide is the main desulfurization agent for magnesium desulfurization technology,and its preparation method is dominated by magnesium oxide hydration.The traditional magnesium oxide hydration method for the preparation of magnesium hydroxide is long of the reaction time,low hydration efficiency,and the final hydration percentage is not high,the equipment occupies a large area and so on.At present,at home and abroad the research on how to improve the hydration preparation of magnesium hydroxide is studied.At present,researchers at home and abroad have already studied this problem,in which the hydration process is applied high temperature and high pressure,can effectively improve the hydration efficiency,but the reaction process is too violent to fine-tune the relevant parameters.Ultrasonic cavitation effect can produce local high temperature and high pressure reaction conditions in the liquid phase,so ultrasonic assisted hydration technology has important research value.In this paper,based on mechanical agitation hydration method,add the ultrasonic treatment equipment,improve the traditional hydration preparation of magnesium hydroxide method.Firstly,the reaction effect of magnesium oxide under mechanical agitation and ultrasonic hydration conditions was compared.The relationship between hydration time,hydration temperature and hydration efficiency and hydration percentage of two kinds of different reaction conditions was studied by designing experiment.Secondly,based on the reaction kinetics,the changes of hydration efficiency under two kinds of reaction conditions were analyzed,and the experimental data were fitted and analyzed by the relevant hydration kinetics model.Finally,the samples of hydration were characterized by SEM,XRD,TGA and FTIR.The reason of differences about the morphological characteristics,compositional changes,crystal structure and hydration efficiency of hydration products under two reaction conditions were analyzed.It can be concluded that the ultrasonic can improve the hydration reaction.Hydration reaction can make magnesium oxide surface magnesium hydroxide precipitation,ultrasonic cavitation effect of micro-jet and local high temperature and high pressure environment can make precipitation fall,exposed magnesia continues to participate in the reaction,thereby enhancing the hydration percentage and hydration efficiency.Finally,it is concluded that ultrasonic wave can promote the preparation of magnesiun hydroxide desulfurizer by hydration reaction.The initial concentration of magnesium oxide is 1%and the reaction temperature is 338K.At the same standard atmospheric pressure,the reaction time of 2h,the mechanical stirring hydration percentage is 46%,and the ultrasonic hydration percentage is 71%.
