Abstract/Summary:
Glassy carbon electrode was widely used in electrochemical detection. However,the suppression of performances toward detection due to the characteristics of the electrode structure and the material. In this paper, the perspective of improving the diffusion properties of materials and the interaction between materials and electrodes were considered, and the scheme, constructing electrochemical sensor with porous gold wire regarded as working electrode, is proposed to improve the test performance of the sensor.In the second chapter, the gold wire with porous structure was prepared by electrochemical etching method and its electrochemical performance was discussed in detail. The experimental results show that the electrode with the etching time of 5 s has better electrochemical performance. Meanwhile, compared with the GCE, gold wire has more advantages in diffusion.In order to investigate the interaction between different electrodes and materials,we discuss the amorphous Ni(OH)2 nanospheres as an example in the third chapter.According to the experimental results and the existing data, porous gold could improve the interaction with the electrode sensitive material due to large electronegativity;thereby the detection performance of materials should be improved.Based on the analysis of the previous two chapters, it can be seen that the use of gold wire electrode with porous structure instead of the traditional glassy carbon electrode can simultaneously improve its diffusion performance and material-electrode interaction. In order to further investigate the application of gold wire in electrochemistry, the porous gold was used for the construction of enzyme electrode to detect the concentration of glucose in Chapter 4. According to the result of the experiment, the sensitivity of the electrode was high when the concentration is low.However, it declines sharply while the concentration is high for the poor conductivity of enzyme. The results indicated that the porous gold could be applied in the enzyme sensor, but the synthesis of the electrode should be further optimized to enhance the detection performance at high concentration.The experimental facts could be obtained from the data: (1) Compared to the glassy carbon electrode, the porous gold electrode can simultaneously improve the diffusion properties of the material and the interaction between the material and the electrode, enabling more sensitive detection. (2) Porous gold plays the important role in the construction of enzyme sensors, but the sensitivity declined sharply while the concentration increased owing to the poor conductivity of the enzyme. Herein, the application of porous gold in enzyme sensor should be further researched.
