Based on in-situ SPM concentration,chlorophyll-a concentration and the spectral data collected from April,June,July and October 2016 in Wuliangsuhai(inner Mongolia Autonomous Region).The spectral characteristics of Wuliangsuhai water were analyzed by Landsat 8 OLI image.In addition,using the June,July quasi-synchronous spectral data according to the optical characteristics of Wuliangsuhai water.The results showed that the water samples could be classified into three types,these three sections are listed as follows:the optical features of water type 1 were influenced by the SPM,the optical characteristics of water type 2 were influenced by both SPM and chlorophyll-a(Chl-a),and the optical properties of water type 3 were mainly determined by Chl-a.Estimation models were then developed for each water type based on Landsat 8 OLI.What the results show is that the estimated algorithm R2 is larger than 0.888,the algorithm APD is less than 32%.Besides,the diurnal variation of SPM and Chl-a concentration in Wuliangsuhai water studied based on Landsat 8 OLI data acquired on in total two years from 2015 to 2016,involved 12 data.The temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of SPM and Chl-a concentration:1.ranges from SPM concentration:(1)spatial distribution pattern:the concentration of SPM in the middle part of Wuliangsuhai is higher,and the southern part is the lowest in the north.(2)Change on season:in April,the concentration presented as the lowest value,began to rise in May,reached a maximum in June after the beginning of July decline.In short,the concentration of SPM in spring(April,May)was lower,and in summer(June,July,August),the concentration increased.However,the concentration of SPM in autumn(September,October)decreased gradually but still higher than that in spring.2.Changes on Chl-a concentration:(1)spatial distribution pattern:the concentration shows a high value in the northern and southern parts of Wuliangsuhai,and there presents a trend that concentration around central and southern varies with the month;(2)season changes:the highest concentration of Chl-a in autumn,followed by summer,the lowest in spring.
