Titanium and titanium alloy extrusion production is a new process in rare metal processing technology.Induction heating is a critical stage for titanium and titanium alloy extrusion production and quality for titanium and titanium alloy extrusion product has a close relationship with induction furnace group control.This paper analyzes the equipment and technological process of extruding production line of titanium and titanium alloy in a titanium processing enterprise,summarizes the temperature control target of induction heating furnace according to the requirements of extruded products,determines the control requirements of induction heating furnace group control system,and designes induction heating furnace group control system program based on the field bus.Induction heating furnace group control system uses PROFINET,PROFIBUS and RS485 to build the control network among the heating furnace group monitoring host,extruder monitoring host and induction heating furnace control machine.In addition,the multi-bus real-time network data communication completes the coordinated control between the induction heating Synchronous Furnace Group and Extruder.Based on the principle of induction heating,the mathematical model of temperature control of induction heating furnace is established,and the temperature control strategy based on fuzzy PID is proposed.Besides,The fuzzy PID controller is extended to the temperature control of multiple induction heating furnace.The accurate and consistent control of temperature is achieved about the induction heating furnace.The OPC technology realize the communication between the Matlab software and Win CC,Because Win CC configuration software is developed,group control system for induction heating furnace conditions,On the design of the Win CC monitor screen included main monitoring picture,history data picture,alarm picture,parameter setting picture and so on.The result shows that the technological requirements of it has been realized that the heating temperature accuracy between titanium and titanium alloy ingots is 10?,the temperature difference about the ingots is not more than 15?,and the production efficiency of the profile extruder is not less than 16 per hour.Therefore,this system is very important for improving the quality of titanium and titanium alloy and stabilizing the process of extrusionproduction.the induction heating furnace group control system has typical application value in rare metal processing field.
