S Well Field of Nanniwan oil field is located in the middle of the first structure unit of northern shaanxi slope in Ordos Basin.The total water cut and recovery factor are low,With the exploration and development,the oil field has entered into the deep development stage,the quality reserves are less,the thin and poor oil layer is less exploited as the main reservoir,and the development potential is big.For excavating the development potential of the oil reservoir and enhancing recovery,it should be transferred the direction of development to the thin and poor reservoir.Firstly,this paper completed the research about reservoir characteristics and the geological characteristics such as sedimentary facies,rock type and reservoir heterogeneity are described by comprehensive utilization of geological and logging data.Based on these results,this paper establishes the lower limitation of effective thickness of thin and poor oil reservoir,and calculates the reserves.The difference between the identification criteria and the secondary interpretation results of the logging is used to screen out the thin oil reservoirs,and their use status and distribution characteristics are studied respectively.Based on the existing research results,it classified dynamic characteristics on the poor-thin layer.The remaining oil is studied by numerical simulation method,which provides the basis for the development method.The development method of differential thin and pooroil layer is optimized,and the development strategy of poor oil layer in this area is determined.The reasonable technical policy boundary of water injection development is determined by reservoir engineering method.Through geological,reservoir engineering and numerical simulation studies,the area difference of thin and poor reservoir is rich in oil reserves.the development mode should prefer water flooding development and measures including fracturing transformation,fill hole,deployment of new wells which can reach the maximum extent of the development of thin and poor oil reservoir.
