Among the high-performance composite materials,a kind of resin which can be molded in low temperature and post-curing at high temperature will have a special chemical structure and excellent processability.In this thesis,BismaleimideContaining Phthalonitrile(BMI-Ph)was synthesized and it has the specific structure of Bismaleimide and Phthalonitrile.The study investigates the influence of the resin,served as compatibilizer,on the promotion of properties about the blended Bismaleimide and Phthalonitrile.The curing mechanism,structure and properties,and compatibilizing modification of the blend resin are studied for further applications.First of all,the blend of 4,4'-bismaleimidodiphenylmethane(BMI)and 3-aminophenoxyphthalonitrile(3-APN)are studied in this paper.Using Differential scanning analysis and Fourier infrared to tracks reaction process in order to comfirm the curing mechanism of BMI/3-APN system.The curing and processing behaviors of the binary blending resin system are analyzed to determine the curing procedure,and discussing the effects of component on bismaleimide and self-catalytic phthalonitrile.According to the curing procedure,BMI/3-APN blends are moulded by casting and laminated molding with glass fiber.Furthermore,the thermal mechanical properties and thermal stabilities of BMI/3-APN blends are compared with pristine BMI and 3-APN to verify the improvement.Secondly,with compatibilizing modification,the BMI-Ph which both contains bismaleimide and phthalonitrile is synthesized trough molecular design.The resultant BMI-Ph has lower melting point and broader processing temperature window.The curing behavior of BMI-Ph is studied systematically by dynamic rheology,and the interrelationship between structure and properties is revealed.Through control the rate of curing reaction and post-processing conditions,the interrelation between processing conditions and properties and BMI-Ph is established.The applications of BMI-Ph in casting molding and fiber laminating composites are discussed by a variety of characterization,and some suggestions on applications for BMI-Ph are also give out.In the end,the special structure of BMI-Ph can be an interaction factor between BMI and 3-APN monomers,through the process,the structure and regularity of terminal products are influenced so as to achieve the purpose of improve the compatibility of blended resins.By evaluating the properties of cured resin,BMI-Phwas used as a compatibilizer between BMI and 3-APN to improve the compatibility of the blends.The influence on curing rate,structure and mechanical property are introduced by the ratio of BMI-Ph in the system are explored in detail.Based on the comparison of macroscopic properties and the verification of microscopic interface,it is presumed that introduction of BMI-Ph can promote the compatibility of the blends.The obtained high-performance composite resin has excellent molding processing property and comprehensive applications.
