The CPC Central Committee in the "one belt, one road" major proposals that desertification is a deterioration of the living environment,Which is an important factor in the sustainable development of the country. The areas of China-Mongolia border are the important agricultural and livestock Production zones in China and Mongolia. The sustainable development of two countries' s economic and social development and the construction of the Mongolia and Russia economic corridor Significance. In this paper, the territory of China-Mongolian border typical region the China's territory in the Dongwuzhumuqin banner and Mongolia's territory in the Halha county,Matad county and Erdene chagan county as the study area, select the Landsat TM remote sensing image, weather and socio-economic data as data source,The remote sensing visual interpretation and remote sensing inversion were used to study the desertification in the China-Mongolia border region.(1)Dynamic characteristics of desertification based on remote sensing interpretationThe area of different desertification types in each time period is calculated after visual interpretation of 2000,2005,2010 and 2015 border area of Landsat TM images. The results show that desertification in China-Mongolia border area experienced a process of reversal-development-development in the period from 2000 to 2015.Between 2000 and 2005,the desertified land was reversed, area decreased by 1484.28 km2,accounting for3.24% of the total area.2005-2010,the land expansion rate of desertified land was rapid, and the area increased by 2165.85 km2,accounting for 4.72% of the total area. The rate of desertified land expansion during 2010-2015 is slower than that in 2005-2010,the area expanded by 114.58 km2,accounting for 0.25% of the total area. The spatial variation showed: The land of desertification in the China-Mongolia border region mainly distributed in the south, southwest andnorthern regions of the China's Dongwuzhumuqin banner. And the Mongolian desertified land is concentrated in the southern and northeastern regions of the Halha County, the central area of Matad County, the central and western regions of the Erdene Chagan County.Between 2000 and 2015,the desertification of Dongwuzhumuqin banner in China is more serious than that in Mongolia.(2)Temporal-spatial variation characteristics of desertification based on r emote sensing inversionThe NDVI,TGSI and Albedo indicators were inversed using the Landsat TM remote sensing images of the China-Mongolia Border in 2000,2009 and2015,and monitoring the desertification. The area change shows that,from2000 to 2009,the area of desertified land in China's Dongwuzhumuqin Banner increased by 678.28km2,accounting for 1.56% of the total area. The area of desertified land in Mongolia expanded by 294.63 km2,accounting for0.45% of the total area.Between 2009 and 2015,the area of desertified land in Dongwuzhumuqin Banner in China increased by 138.8km2,accounting for0.30% of the total area. The desertified land area of Mongolia increased by102.47km2,accounting for 0.16% of the total area. The desertified land in the China-Mongolia border region is mainly distributed in the north-central,south-central and southwest regions of the China's Dongwuzhumuqin banner. The mid-west region of Halha county and the north and mid-west region of matad and the southern part of Erdene Chagan County in Mongolia.Between 2000 and 2015,the desertification of Dongwuzhumuqin banner in China is more serious than that in Mongolia.(3)Analysis of the causes of desertification in China-Mongolia border region2000-2005 the main factors leading to the desertification reversal of the Dongwuzhumuqin banner in China are policy put forward and the decrease of the amounts of livestock,2005-2010 the main factors leading to the desertification development of the Dongwuzhumuqin banner in China are population growth,2010-2015 the main factors leading to the desertificationdevelopment of the Dongwuzhumuqin banner in China are the growth of the population and livestock.2000-2005 the main causes of desertification reversal in Mongolia are population decline,2005-2010 the causes of desertification development in Mongolia are Climate change and human factors,2010-2015 the main causes of desertification development in Mongolia are population growth.(4)This study suggests that desertification monitoring can be based on the size of the range Select the monitoring method. When the study area is small,we can choose the method of visual interpretation to research of desertification, and the method of remote sensing inversion can be selected when the study area is large.
