Natural gas hydrate is a component of natural gas and water molecules,like the solid ice crystals,natural gas composed mainly of methane,it is also known as methane hydrate.In the gas hydrate reservoir,hydrate make the rock cementation enhanced and shear strength increased.In the process of hydrate decomposition,sediment porosity gradually loose cement and shear strength reduced.The formation of gas hydrates need for high-pressure and low-temperature conditions,hydrate core cannot be in the traditional triaxial apparatus to shear experiment.Analysis of technical problems in the experiment of gas hydrate shear,In this paper,the feasibility of the direct shear apparatus,the three axis instrument and the unconfined compression strength tester in the hydrate shear test are evaluated,The design idea and design scheme of natural gas hydrate shear apparatus are put forward.This experiment is in a closed container for methane hydrate formation pressure and temperature,so methane hydrate is in the container to generate.Under the gas hydrate original conditions does not change to shear,measuring simulation of methane hydrate formation’s shear strength.Finally the problems in the process of test were analyzed.Analysis of the impact of gas hydrate shear strength factors,including temperature,and time of saturation.
