The Fuel Cells(FCs)to replace the traditional electrochemical batteries,is the trend of the advance of the science and technology.The kinetics of oxygen reduction reactions(ORRs)of fuel cells at cathode,which blocks the development of fuel cells.Oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)involves the gas diffusion,adsorption,electron transfer,diffusion of the product,etc.,which is a complex process.In order to improve the rate of oxygen reduction reaction on fuel cell cathode,using efficient catalyst is of vital importance.So far,the platinum(Pt)and Pt-based catalysts have been developed and also have been regarded as the most effective electrocatalysts for ORRs.However,the Pt-based ORR catalysts still suffer from bottleneck problems that limited stability,fuel crossover and CO poison effect.At the same time,the content of noble Pt metal is scarcity and high cost,which is the main obstacles for commercializing of FCs.Therefore,looking for a cheaper electricity catalyst to replace Pt is particularly important.Metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)with large surface area and uniform pore size,higher porosity,more diverse structures and functions.We have synthesized two series of nitrogen-doped porous carbon materials which used as electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction,metal-free nitrogen doped-porous carbon materials NPC-800,NPC-900,NPC-1000 and Co nanoparticles loaded nitrogen-doped porous carbon materials Co@NPC-800,Co@NPC-900,Co@NPC-1000.We systematically study the electrocatalytic activities for ORRs.As a result,the two different types of carbon materials both are performance ORR electrocatalytic activities.Metal-free nitrogen doped-porous carbon material NPC-900 has higher N content and degree of graphitization is appropriate.Co nanoparticles load of nitrogen doped porous carbon materials,also have very excellent oxygen reduction activity and Co@NPC-800,Co@NPC-900 show an excellent electrocatalytic activity for ORRs.Metal-organic frameworks were as precursor or template to synthesize of porous carbon materials,and doped heteroatoms into carbon materials to enhance its catalytic activity.It has a significant research value for developing FCs.
