The development of science and technology is faster and faster at present.It is time to develop an efficient green energy because non-renewable energy resource seriously pollutes the environment and continuously decrease in the process of human life.Recently,many researchers focus on solar energy,especially in the use of solar photovoltaic,which has become the most dynamic research field.Solar battery includes four types: silicon solar cells,multi compound thin film solar cells,organic solar cells and nano crystalline solar cells.The solar battery has many advantages that other methods do not have: no fuel consumption,no subject to geographical restrictions,flexible combination of scale,no pollution,no noise,safe and reliable,easy maintenance,short construction period,the possibility of large-scale application.Organic solar cell becomes one of the hot spots in photovoltaic technology research field due to its flexibility,light weight and low price etc.In this paper,we focus on the use of near infrared dyes in organic solar cells.This paper introduces the classification of near infrared dyes;the development status of dithiolene metal complexes at home and abroad;the applications,synthesis methods and research ideas of dithiolene metal complexes.The aim was to improve the stability and prolong the service life of the active material.In order to improve the full spectrum absorption of organic solar cells,a dithiolene nickel complexes with long carbon chain was designed and prepared as an active material of the cell.It was on the premise of studying and summarizing the relevant literature and patents in the existing research.Due to the extension of the carbon chain,the solubility of the active material was improved,and the maximum absorption wavelength of the active material was shifted to the long wavelength with the increase of solvent polarity.Alkoxynaphthalene was synthesized from 1-naphthol and alkyl bromide,and then symmetric diketone was prepared by Friedel-Crafts reaction of oxalyl chloride and alkoxynaphthalene in methylene chloride solvents,finally the target product of dithiolene nickel complex was obtained by complex reaction.In this paper,two kinds of dithiolene nickel complexes were successfully synthesized.Their structures were characterized by IR,1H-NMR and 13C-NMR.And absorption spectra were measured by UV,the results showed that the two compounds displayed strong absorbency at the waveband of 920 nm,and the analysis of TG indicated that the two compounds have good thermal stability.It can be concluded that these two kinds of dithiolene nickel complexes have great potential in near infrared absorption.
