The Exploration And Practice Of V-process Casting In Casting Ductile Iron Manhole Covers

The manhole covers is an essential safety device for the process of building public facilities, such as the roads, telecommunications and energy. For this reason, combined the project of Chengdu xintonggao Composite Equipment Co., Ltd. with using the V-method casting new technology to improve the inspection covers Manhole production, so as to improve production efficiency while meeting national requirements on green cast.In order to improve productivity and forming quality covers, this paper focuses on the QT500-7 DN400 models of ductile iron manhole, Study V method process to casting the DN400 covers, completed the design of covers V casting mold, mold base plate, the sand core and core-mold, and through simulation software workbench for computational analysis covers the structure, according to the results of simulation analysis of covers structure to do optimization design, and then modifying the mold of V method before practice casting production. According to the production of castings situation to make better optimizations, so repeatedly optimization and simulation on the covers structural and the actual production feedback Comparison, gradually increase the production productivity and casts forming quality of covers V-method casting process.
