Pressure casting is a highly efficient production technology,the product made by said method has high precision and good mechanical properties,so it is widely used in automotive,construction,electronics and other industries.As the commonly used materials for die casting,aluminum casting process is easy to produce the defects such as shrinkage.Numerical simulation technology can effectively predict casting defects,improve process and improve the quality of the product.In this paper,the Aluminum alloy electrical accessories produced by yuxiang machinery Limited Company has been investigated as an example.By using software ProCAST,analyzing the casting process,predicting the defect formation region,in order to optimize die casting Process,improve the process yield.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1.Determine the format for data conversion.ProCAST software CAD function is not perfect,so use other software for three-dimensional solid modeling.Using UG NX4.0 building model,analyzing the interface between UGNX4.0 and ProCAST software,so determine parasolids format used for data conversion.2.Combining the actual processing experience set up process parameters of simulation analysis,the Pre-treatment of simulation has finished.According to the actual production situation and product structure characteristics,one module and two cavities pouring process was designed.The mesh is divided and the thermal parameter of casting and mold is determined.3.The process of numerical simulation on die casting is conducted.The paper from filling,solidification,casting defect prediction three aspects,analyzes the changes of the whole process.Using thermocouple measuring the temperature of the casting,and draw cooling curve according to the measured temperature.The results prove the numerical simulation is reliable through comparing with the trial product.4.Optimization of process parameter.From the results of simulation,the process parameters has been adjusted,and each parameter was stimulation and processed by using the orthogonal experimental method,at last the best die casting process parameters has got.Casting speed 0.7 m/s,pouring temperature 630 ?,die temperature 200 ?.
