Assembly is the final step of the manufacturing process.The traditional manual assembly process planning needs higher requirement of the workers and design staffs,and its' process and effectiveness is cumbersome and low,and it will also generate a lot of assembly costs what can be avoided.However,with the rapid development of virtual assembly technology,virtual assembly technology integrate the design,manufacture,assembly process of the actual assembly into computer-simulation technology,and evaluate the assembly process by establishing an immersive,interactive virtual environment to do the assembly and disassembly operations,and then get a reasonable,economical and practical assembly program.Through using the virtual assembly technology,greatly reducing the risk of the errors in the actual assembly,shortening the assembly cycle,reducing assembly costs and improving the assembly of the operator.It can be fitted directly to the product design optimization which is much more significant in improving the efficiency and quality of major assembly.And the assembly sequence planning optimization is the core issue.In this paper,firstly,It provides an overview of the presentation about the development of the current domestic and international virtual assembly technique and assembly sequence planning technology-related fields;secondly,it introduces an instance of the body of the shield machine and introduce successively about the development,classification,selection methods of the shield machine,and then the assembly information model of the body of the shield machine is established and the assembly sequence of the body of the shield machine is evaluated comprehensively;after then it explains the basic principles of particle swarm algorithm and perfects two aspects: inertia weight factor and shrinkage factor,and then the algorithm combine and improve with the gravitation search algorithm after it is discreted because of its' defect,and then it proposes a new algorithm: Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization-Gravitational Search Algorithm with the computational steps and calculation process;finally,it conducts a simulation test about the core parameters of the algorithm,meanwhile it analyzes and compares the convergence of the PSO algorithm,GSA algorithm and DPSO-GSA algorithm,demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithm,after then it is verified by the instance of the shield machine.At the end of the full text it is the summary and outlook.
