Carbon–carbon double bonds constitute important building blocks towards the synthesis of many natural and synthetic products and Olefin metathesis, a carbon–carbon double bond breaking and reforming sequence, has availed itself to synthetic organic and polymer chemists as an elegant method for making them. During the past 30 years, there is a huge development of metathesis catalyst application, especially Ruthenium catalyst, showing incredible potential in organic synthesis and synthetic chemistry. This paper is based on the activity, stability and heat resistance of Indenylidene Schiff base Ru-based complexes, synthesized a few catalysts, and using them for RCM of several standard substrates and self-metathesis of Methyl oleate. This thesis was financial supported from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NO.21172027). The main contents include:1. Synthesized Ruthenium indenylidene catalyst, synthesized a few Schiff-base ligand, synthesized a few Indenylidene Schiff base Ru-based complexes and finished a few tests about their heat stability by NMR and Kinetic study by GC. Compared to Ruthenium indenylidene catalyst, Indenylidene schiff base Ru-based complexes showed better heat stability and good activity, it is a good catalyst for storage and, They are good alternatives to commercial expensive catalyst.2. Synthesized a few kind of standard substrates for Ring closing metathesis, and using them for testing catalysts’ activity by GC we synthesized. Compared to Ruthenium indenylidene catalyst, Indenylidene schiff base Ru-based complexes showed better activity and selectivity to RCM of standard substrates and Self-metathesis of Methyl oleate and showed high application value.
