With the rapid development of China's economy, China's consumer demand for mineral resources is also growing.In recent years, the mining industry develops fast which is bound to put forward higher requirements for mining technology.In the process of exploitation of mineral resources, ore grade can be used to measure the character and quality of the ore. Grade is the unit content of ore's useful part. Ore grade's level will directly reflect the quality of the merits of the degree. Therefore, to find a suitable way to determine the grade of the ore, and then used to guide the actual mining of ore, which will improve the efficiency of ore mined in large part, to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the factory.MATLAB is the main software of this design. Laser scanner is used to measure the data of the surface of the mine tub.We use MATLAB to simulate the scanning data of three-dimensional numerical value.And to get more cars in the three-dimensional network chart. Then we use a car of the scanning data as samples of actual reduction tub surface.We restore the car surface ore ratio by calculating tub surface area by small squares of the whole of the surface area.Because the ore inside is irregular object, therefore, a special method will be used in the calculation of the volume of the compartment ore.The compartment is a regular rectangular. The bottom area of the compartment can be calculated easily. As long as the height of the iron ore is calculated, we can calculate the volume of iron ore inside. Finally, we can calculate the coefficient of the ore loose.( The so-called loose coefficient is the ratio of the volume of stone loose soil volume and soil of the natural volume when the stone is not loose, which is the reflection of the coefficient of loosely degree).Find some kind of correspondence among the ore loose coefficient, density and ore grade. Calculate the ore grade by the loose coefficient and density of the ore, and then compare with the grade which is derived experimentally. By constructing a neural network model, errors will be corrected constantly between the grade which is calculated theoretically and the grade which is derived experimentally. Eventually find a kind of relation to get the ore grade which can substitute experimental method by theoretical calculation.
