In recent years, as one of the most attractive research subjects on material science, nano technologyis recognized as one of the 21 st century's most promising research areas. The excellent property of nanostructure, combinative with the unique physical and chemical properties of the noble metal, will generate some new special effects. It has been broadly applied in many fields. With the further research of noble metal nano-material, all kinds of excellent properties of noble metal have been displayed. However, the limitations of the noble metal are emergedgradually.As a kind of noble nanomaterials,gold nanomaterialshave been widely studied, especially the optical properties of gold nanomaterials have attracted more attention. However, the optical properties transform as the composition of the gold nanostructure changes. From the monomer to dimer and tosuperlattice,the new optical properties that caused by the changed structure would expand the application field.In this paper, GNRs were prepared according to the seed-mediated growth method. Au@Si O2 with controllableshell thicknesswere synthesized by the St?ber method. Some new applications of these two gold nanostructureshave been put forward, and the feasibility of these new applications have been proved theoretically. The main findings are shown below:(1) Taking cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) as the surface capping agents, certain ratio GNRs were synthesized through seed-mediated growth method.Analyzing the influenceof the amount of seeds and silver nitrate about the synthesis of GNRs: using a certain amount of silver nitrate as participator, the aspect ratio of the rods increases when adding more Au seeds; In the case of gold nanorods made without silver nitrate, the nanorods are obtained quite long.(2) Au@SiO2 is prepared byimproved St?ber method: compared with the traditional method, the improved one is easier to realize the control of the thickness of silica shell.(3) The droplet evaporation method was adopted to make the GNRs assemblies: the assemblied GNRs are characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and the results showthat the GNRs can self-assembly perfectly in the area at the edge of the droplet.(4) This paper puts forwardsome new applications of self-assembly gold nanorods in anti-counterfeit technology and sensor technique. By means of some related softwares, the calculation results turned out consistent with the theory.
