Natural gas has been paid more and more attention as a high quality,efficient and clean energy.Natural gas contains acid gas,such as H2S,and it can lead to physical safety threats and environmental pollution,the country makes stringent standards on the acid gas components in the natural gas,so desulfurization processing must be carried out before using to achieve the national standard.In this paper,Using low concentration H2S and nitrogen gas mixture for simulate raw fuel gas,modified active carbon was main absorbent and was modificated to desulphurization.The adsorbents were characterized by scanning electron microscope?SEM?,specific surface area?BET?and XRD.Effects of preparation condition and adsorption condition on the performance of hydrogen sulphide removal were studied using a fixed-bed adsorption column.Experiment results of showed that:?1?Iron oxide modified activated carbon adsorbent.The absorbent with iron oxide to activate carbon mass ratio of 1:1,vacuum drying temperature of 70 ? and drying time of 36 h was found to give the best performance.At the adsorption temperature of 60 ?,the saturated sulfur capacity and desulfurization rate reached 77.4 mg/g and 99.2%,respectively.The saturated sulfur capacity was improved by 60.2 mg/g compared with unmodified activate carbon.The low concentration H2S sorption kinetics are satisfied with Bangham equation.?2?The performance of hydrogen sulphide removal of absorbent was effectively improved by Cu?NO3?2?NaOH and HNO3 impregnated activate carbon.The best effect is Cu?NO3?2 modified activated carbon adsorbent.The best preparation conditions is:Cu?NO3?2 impregnation concentration of 5%,impregnation time of 24 h,calcination temperature of 300 ?,calcination time of 2 h?The saturated sulfur capacity and desulfurization rate reached 55.4 mg/g and 98.92%,respectively.The saturated sulfur capa city was improved by 38.2 mg/g compared with unmodified activate carbon.
