| Salt spray is an important component of the atmospheric haze. The seawater cooling tower which has been speedily promoted in recent years produces a large amount of salt spray in the process of cooling, the impact of the salt spray on the environment has not been taken seriously. In this paper,we take the seawater cooling tower of power plant(E:121°30′49″;N:29°28′53″)as the research object, and examine the effects of salt spray drift produced by the seawater cooling tower on the surrounding environment. In this paper,we take the seawater cooling tower as the center, set up12 sampling points, collected dustfall,TSP,soil and water samples respectively from February to December 2012,and analyzed the samples by weighing, ion chromatography and other methods. We found that the amount of salt spray drift produced by the seawater cooling tower is large, its distribution is related to the factors such as seasons and local prevailing wind direction. We found that the amount of dustfall and TSP during spring and autumn are less than summer and winter,in this case, the maximum point of salt spray is about 0.9 km away from the cooling tower, and with the increase of the distance, the salt spray deposition decreased rapidly. The rule of the TSP changes with distance is similar to the dustfall, however,in the human high-frequency activity area, the ratio of the TSP and dustfall is low.Combined with the results of seawater monitoring and soil ioncomposition research,we believe that the dustfall in the atmosphere of surrounding areas mainly comes from human activity,TSP mainly comes from the marine and cooling tower’s salt spray,in addition,we found that the salt spray produced by the seawater cooling tower has little influence on the soil ionic components of surrounding areas. |
