Complex fluid properties and formation uncertainty make it difficult for oil and gas development.Well placement optimization and well pattern optimization are two key problems in the field of oil and gas development.Horizontal well is now widely used as a reservoir development tool.However,since its high cost and risk,the trajectory parameters of horizontal well must be optimized before well locating in order to enhance oil recovery and decrease the cost and risk.Conventional horizontal optimization is based on the experience of engineers,which choose the optimal scheme through the comparison of different reservoir simulation results.This method is simple and practical,but take the entire well pattern into consideration,this method can not find the optimal well locations.Therefore,the study of horizontal well pattern optimization is necessary.The specific content include: the study of optimization model of horizontal well pattern;the study of horizontal well pattern optimization;the study of hydraulic fracture optimization of horizontal well.The optimization model of horizontal well pattern is based on the study of controlled variables,objective function,boundary management,constraints and constrained optimization.The study of horizontal well pattern optimization is carried out though the determination of optimal process,the study of optimization algorithms,the constrained optimization steps,grid matching and comparison and analysis of different optimization methods.The study of hydraulic fracture optimization is based on a homogeneous reservoir model simulation through the combination of equal permeability method and horizontal well pattern optimization.The results have proved that horizontal well pattern constrained optimization is applicable for real oil and gas field development,and it is suitable for hydraulic fracture optimization.The method can enhance oil recovery,decrease water cut and maximize economic benefit of oil and gas filed,which provides theory support for scheme design during oil and gas development.
