Metal Zirconiun with its alloy is widely used in the nuclear industry and chemical industry.Because it has some special physical or chemical properties such as the small intercept area in thermal neutrons,oxidation resistance,corrosion resistance,the small thermal expansion coefficient and so on.With the development of science and technology,Zirconium alloy also gradually have been applied in aerospace field.Meanwhile,titanium and its alloy with specific higher strength,good corrosion resistance and lower density has been widely used in the aerospace and chemical industry.With the progress of aerospace and the poor service condition,stringent requirements of space material has put forward from the aspect of corrosion resistance and the perspective of mechanical property.Above all,ZrTi with smaller strength and excellent corrosion resistance has attracted more and more attention.This paper is based on the development of new space structure material,which adopts a variety of experimental methods.The paper aims to research the different components of ZiTi under different processing conditions of phase properties.What's more,the organizational structure impacts on the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.The paper is based on Zr50Ti50,using the self-consuming furnace to produce different ratio of composition of Zr-Ti binary alloy.The main point of research is the composition,the organization and the change of the relationship between mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.Based on the experimental result of as-cast Zr-Ti and rolling state of Zr-Ti binary alloy,Within the scope of the zirconium content 50% to 80%,the hardness and strength of the alloy increased with the increase of zirconium content increase.Specially,Zr80Ti20 has the highest hardness and highest strength,360 HV and 1116 MPa.The main strengthening mechanism is solution strengthening and structure refinement.The experimental tests on the corrosion properties of the alloy have three parts: the first part is the electrochemical corrosion tests in different medium;It can be seen that alloy increases with the increase of Zi content and the corrosion resistance also enhances by observing the polarization curve in NaCl solution,HCL solution and NaOH.The second part adopts the traditional method of soaking weightlessness in order to test of the corrosion ratio of alloy in 5 mol/l hydrochloric acid.It's obvious that the addition of Zi hassignificance effects on the corrosion of alloy.TGA(Thermogravimetric Analysis)has been used in the third part.It aims to analyze the thermal stability of alloy under the condition of air heating.TGA shows that the Zi-Ti binary alloy has good thermal stability.The addition of Zi has a little effect on the thermal stability of the alloy.
