Wool products has well received by consumers,because of its good moisture absorption,excellent heat retention property,and wool fabric has many unique style,its feel slippery waxy,soft and natural luster,and high elastic.Now,lightweight wool fabric has become the mainstream trend of development,which requires finer wool fibers and wool yarn,and yarn hairiness,strength,evenness index reached a good level,so it makes the cost of spinning increase.The compact siro spinning technology can improve yarn quality and reduce the cost of raw materials.So,This paper based on Zinser 451C~3 wool compact spinning machine and the single row perforated leather ring was substituted for double row perforated leather ring,and explore the application of the compact siro spinning technology on wool spinning machine:Firstly,the structure characteristics of Zinser 451C~3 wool compact siro spinning system was researched,then analyzed the spinning mechanism,the condensing mechanism and the effect of double row perforated leather ring extended section to yarn quality.The analysis shows that the condensed width of fiber bundle is controlled by the aperture of the perforated leather ring,The distance between the two rows of perforated leather ring determines the distance between two fiber bundles.The self cleaning system is composed of a special shaped suction pipe,a support frame and a leather ring,which form an inverted triangle structure,and the expansion of the aperture in the course of circle rotation makes it have the function of self cleaning.The gas flow in the condensing area mainly has the function of fixation and agglomeration,The pressure difference between atmospheric pressure and negative pressure can make the leather ring to form a v-shaped construction and have an auxiliary agglomeration effect on fibers,and there is the best negative pressure region and the appropriate aperture size of leather ring for different yarn fineness.Double row perforated leather ring has the drag and friction effect on the rendezvous point and yarn in extended section,it keep rendezvous point in the deflection section,and the fiber bundles between the output jaw to the rendezvous point exists twist,it makes more fiber into yarn,and the yarn structure is similar to plied yarn,finally the yarn quality is improved.Secondly,it was adopted that the traditional ring spinning,siro spinning,compact spinning,compact siro spinning to spun wool yarn,The experiment results of yarn performance comparison shows that the compact siro spinning yarn is improved in various aspects;The single factor experiment of double row perforated leather ring shows that it should be selected larger aperture size for strength and hairness index,and it should be selected according to the fineness of yarn for yarn evenness index;The experiment about the extended section of perforated leather ring shows that this extended section can significantly reduce yarn hairiness,the yarn strength and evenness increased slightly,but not significantly.Thirdly,pure wool roving was adopted to make Nm60 compact siro yarn and wool/polyester blended roving was adopted to make Nm35 compact siro yarn,and the effects of double row perforated leather ring,traveler,twist factor and negative pressure on the properties of yarn were investigated by single factor analysis method,besides,the reason was found out,then 3 key indexes are selected to carry on the orthogonal experiment,then the experimental data was analyzed based on the variance analysis and comprehensive index analysis,finally,the optimal combination of process parameters are got,and verifying the result.The optimal process parameters combination of spinning Nm 60 pure wool yarn is as follow,yarn factor is 95,the negative pressure is 30 mbar and the type of double row perforated leather ring is 6C3;the optimal process parameters combination of spinning Nm 35 wool/polyester blended yarn is as follow,yarn factor is 90,the negative pressure is 33 mbar and the type of double row perforated leather ring is 6C3.Finally,the acrylic fiber is widely used in wool spinning,so compared the acrylic yarn performance in 4 spinning methods,the result shows that the acrylic fiber has spinning ability on the Zinser 451C~3 wool compact siro spinning machine,and the compositive yarn quality of compact siro spinning acrylic yarn has improved significantly.And compared the improving degrees of acrylic yarn and pure wool yarn,the result shows that the improvement of pure wool yarn is better than acrylic yarn and the Zinser 451C~3 wool compact siro spinning machine has a better matching with wool fibers,it`s economic benefits is more higher.The single factor experiment of double row perforated leather ring shows that the effect of double row perforated leather ring type to acrylic yarn is same as pure wool yarn.
