With the development of modern manufacturing technology,the demand for complex high precision cutting tool blade sharp growth,so demand for manufacturing tool CNC grinding machine also increase greatly.The core of NC tool grinding machine is CNC system,although the traditional CNC system is quite mature control technology,but it gradually does not apply to the world manufacturing demand for intelligentialize and flexibility because of its closure.So open numerical control has become a new trend in the development of CNC system.At present,the domestic five-axis CNC tool grinding machine still need to rely on imports.In order to achieve the domestic independent research and development of five-axis grinding CNC system.In this thesis,the machine mechanical structure and the function requirements of five-axis CNC tool grinding are analyzed firstly.Then hardware and software structure of the open CNC system is studied.Finally,the scheme of the five-axis grinding CNC system based on UMAC controller is presented.According to the idea of the design,simulation and manufacturing integration for tool,this thesis studies the post-processing motion algorithm for the cutter location data.Through the research,it is found that the the different initial orientation of the grinding wheel and the different coordinate of the workpiece coordinate system will have impacts on post-processing motion solution,leading to the current existing algorithms are not fully applicable.So,in this thesis,a new method based on coordinate transformation is put forward,which completes the calculation of the motion of the grinding machine.It lays the foundation for the improvement of the post-processing method of the grinding machine and the integration of design and manufacture.Using the modular design method,the function modules of the system software are divided and designed.The UMAC motion controller has the advantages of high openness,powerful function and easy further development.Through the research of the communication of PC and UMAC,code inspection,motion program automatic generation,process synchronization code display,grinding back to zero,the servo parameter setting and other key technologies,the functional requirements of CNC system are satisfied.Finally,a software of five axis tool grinder is developed on the platform of.NET.And a CNC system simulation experiment platform is established for commissioning and validation of the software system.
