Lightweight has become an important direction in aeronautics and astronautics,weapon manufacturing,transportation and other fields.Metal 3D printing is an advanced manufacturing technology and can achieve the feasibility of lightweight design through structural design and using lightweight materials.Selective laser melting is an important method of metal 3D printing technology,which can directly fabricate complex structural parts.AlSi10Mg is one type of lightweight alloy materials with high reflectivity,low mobility and easy oxidized,leading SLM manufacturing AlSi10Mg alloy easily to form pores,oxides,irregular holes and other defects,increase the difficulty.The research object of this paper is lightweight metal 3D printing based on SLM technology and its application.The main research contents include three parts.The first,the theoretical research of metal 3D printing lightweight structural design based on SLM technology.The second,forming process of AlSilOMg based on SLM technology.The third,the aerospace applications of lightweight metal 3D printing based on SLM technology.The main work and research results are as follows:(1)The design rule of light weight structure of metal 3D printing based on SLM technology was proposed.Develop a lightweight structural design process of 3D metal printing based on analysis of the design requirements and constraints,combining SLM processing technology and lightweight structural design principles.(2)The effects of forming parameters such as laser power,scanning path,scanning distance and scanning speed on the SLM processing properties of AlSilOMg alloy was investigated by theoretical analysis and experimental studies.(3)Measured mechanical properties of SLM manufacturing AlSilOMg alloy samples,including microstructure,fracture morphology,and analyzed reasons of its superiority compared with traditional casting process.(4)The application of lightweight metal 3D printing technology based on SLM technology in aeronautics and astronautics is studied.The lightweight engine frame structure and the lightweight structure of a satellite were designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of using,verifying the feasibility of lightweight metal structure design and manufacture process based on SLM technology.
