The green sustainable development of PVC industry has become a hot research topic at present. From the source to curb the amount of mercury, in use process reduce the loss of mercury and volatile, improve the utilization rate of mercuric chloride, therefore need to develop a lower content of mercuric chloride catalyst, in order to play the role of no mercury in the transition process of calcium carbide PVC industry.This article based on the assessment conditions, the formula ratio, catalyst carrier, carrier processing factors. Screening and determination of the optimum formula ratio of ultra-low mercury catalyst. Further industrial amplification experiment was carried out. Grope for the catalyst preparation and industrial measurement conditions. Technical support for the application and evaluation of large scale industrialization.Experimental results show that:The carbon content of 4% mercuric chloride, Wood or coal based carbon as the carrier, By appropriate pretreatment method, Preliminary determination of the optimum formula for theultra-low mercury catalyst was HgCl2-CuCl2-BaCl2/AC, ratio of 1:10:0.5; Compound ZnCl2, CoCl2, BiCl3 can greatly enhance the activity of the catalyst. The stability of the catalyst can be promoted by adding the KC1 and LaCl3. Can be used as the key research object of the following optimization and improved catalyst. The activity and stability of the catalyst in the laboratory performance evaluation are quite similar to that of the low solid mercury catalyst; in the evaluation of the performance of industrial siding in the single catalyst activity is excellent, the stability is slightly worse than the low industrial solid mercury catalyst.
