Carbon aerogel is a sort of material of which the main structure is carbon materials.The character structure with certain volume of continuous three-dimensional networksmake carbon aerogel low density,high porosity,large specific surface area and get an amorphous state.There has been methods to modify and restrict the structure of carbon aerogel at the nano-scale.Carbon aerogel has been used widely especially in the area of adsorbing purification(water purification including oil-water separation and the removing of heavy metal in waste water)and air purification(the absorption of volatile contaminants and microwave).In the field of electrode material of functional electronic devices,carbon aerogel can be applied inthe attractivesuper-capacitors(energy storage device),dye-sensitized solar cell,fuel cell etc.It can also served in electro-analysis and testing area as sensors which can detect the microcrystalline particles in water.Nowadays the energy crisis and environmental pollution have been the prime global problem to be solved emergently.Fortunatelycarbon aerogel will play an important role in these two troubles and has great prospect in the coming days.This paper discussed the carbon aerogel in the following:(1)Two kind of carbon aerogel have been prepared.The first is inorganic composited carbon aerogel of which the main structure is based on grapheme(chapter 2).The next is the inorganic aerogel and its composite aerogel which prepared by the method of carbonization with organic carbon aerogel coming from biological tissue(chapter 3,4).(2)The adsorption capacity and the pH stability of GO/Fe3O4 oxide coated by oleic acid(prepared in chapter 2)were tested.Comparison was made in electrochemical performance with or without oleic acid.(3)The adsorption capacity to organic oil material of PECAbiomasscarbon aerogel and its composite aerogel(prepared in chapter 3)were characterized.In the area of water purification,the effect in the oil/water separation was tested.(4)Electrochemical performance of PECAbiomasscarbon aerogel and its composite aerogel(prepared in chapter 4)was carried out and the property of asymmetric supercapacitor devicemanufactured by carbon aerogel was tested as well.
