The water shortage problem will be very serious in Alashan Bayanhaote region in the next 15 years.According to "Alashan Banner Inner Mongolia Bayanhaote city master plan (2015-2030)", the population of Bayanhaote town and the land of grass and industry will have a substantial increase, but the existing sewage treatment plant capacity and water quality has been unable to meet the relevant national standards.Based on the research of environmental protection infrastructure construction in Alashan, this paper focuses on the design of wastewater treatment project in Bayanhaote New Area. According to the requirements of the relevant standards and regulations, comparison and demonstration among oxidation ditch, SBR class CAST process and A/A/O process technology have been made, and finally membrane bioreactor (MBR) Treatment had been choosen to utilize in this project design which recycled water will supply Inner Mongolia Harun Energy Bayanhot 2×330MW cogeneration project of industrial cooling water and green water in the township to reduce the region's water supply. At the same time, only the improving reclaimed water transport system can make the sewage treatment plants to operate and give full use of its role.The renewable water sources will be used only in this way.Membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment process is mainly affected by the concentration of activated sludge, aeration and dissolved oxygen values, hydraulic retention time and membrane fouling. This method can be biodegradable to pollutants.At the same time itrogen, phosphorus and other nutrients are not lacking and little amount of sludge have been generated. This design will provide a reference to Alashan "thirteen five" urban sewage treatment engineering as well as the project design of the other similar areas.
