Cloud shoulder as one of the important traditional costumes in China, has been widely used to wear, and its brilliant colors, rich patterns, unique shape, superb craftsmanship of the ancient working people are hard and wisdom, is the traditional Cultural great spiritual wealth. In particular, the complex stacked cloud shoulder with complex modeling process has a unique structure compared with other cloud shoulders, and therefore has a high research value. In this paper, through the history of the development of stacked cloud shoulder, the shape of the structure in-depth analysis, summary of the structural characteristics of stacked cloud shoulder and its own structural characteristics in the patterns brought about by the different. Then it analyzes the application cases of the cascading cloud shoulder in contemporary dress, and summarizes and summarizes its design and application methods. And then through the design practice to show stacked cloud shoulder structure in the various parts of the application of the different functions and effects. At the same time, it expounded how the graduation project applied the theory of laminated cloud shoulder structure to the design practice, and demonstrated the possibility of its application in contemporary fashion design.
