Electrochemical wire cutting is a new type of metal cutting technology.This technology electrolyzes workpieces by connecting negative electrode with cathode which has advantages of cathode self-protection,wide range of processing and higher processing efficiency,so it can be used for machining work with complex shape and thin wall parts even flexibilities.But the process also has some problems,such as wires broken in the machining process.In the process of electrolysis,workpieces been machined,especially for the special artifacts contained higher carbon content such as bearing steels,will generate more carbon conductive material which is not conductive to clean up the features and hindered the further processing of electrolytic cutting.In order to solve the problem that the common linear cutting machine can't be solve.In this paper,we design a new machine to improve the processing technology: Rotating electrode electrochemical processing machine.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)A simple theoretical model of electrochemical cutting of rotating electrodes is proposed.This paper also analyzes the influence law of the machining gap width of the rotating electrode electrochemical machining,and analyzes the influence of rotating electrode processing speed.(2)The control system of rotary electrode electrochemical cutting is designed.(3)The design of the rotary electrode machining machine structure including: X,Y,Z axis platform design,motor selection,mechanism design and clamping device for rotating electrode movement,using ANSYS simulation software to design specific electrolyte discharge mechanism,a sheet metal design,design of electrode wire.(4)Electrolyte circulating filtration system was designed.(5)By changing the different parameters,the experimental study of 304 stainless steel and NaCl electrolyte was carried out.
