1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene(TATB)is a kind of high energy and insensitive explosive who is also one of the earliest heat-resistant explosive in the world.TATB is widely used in the military and civil fields until now.The synthesis of TATB mainly experienced three stages and in the process of the production will produce large amounts of organic waste water.Chromatography is the most commonly used waste water analytical method.Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrum(LC-MS),High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC)and Gas Chromatography(GC)analysis instruments were used to analyze and identified the organic pollutant compositions in the waste water produced by the TATB preparation.Pretreatment method such as liquid-liquid extraction and solid phase extraction had been used to deal with the waste water.Using the Infrared(IR),Nuclear Magnetic(NMR)and High Resolution Mass Spectrometry(HRMS)to characterize the solid materials extracted from the waste water,and set up corresponding analysis methods.Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry combined with Linear Ion Trap-Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry(LTQ-FT-MS)had been used to.identify the nonvolatile components in the effluent.The thermal instability and the nonvolatile organic pollutants have been determined.Three kind of solid substances were extracted from the waste water.Infrared spectrum,nuclear magnetic and high resolution mass spectrometry were used to character and determine their structure.The result shows that the three kind of solid substances are 1,3,5-trihydroxy-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene(TNPG),1,3,5-triethoxy-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene(TETNB)and 1-amino-3,5-diethoxy-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene respectively.High Performance Liquid Chromatorgraphy had been used to determine the content of the 4 kinds of benzene derivatives in the effluent and established a HPLC analysis method of 4 kinds of material in waste water.Gas Chromatography had been used to determine the content of small molecule solvents in the waste water and established a GC method suitable for determination of solvent residue in industrial effluent.
