In the modern chicken slaughtering plants,the slaughtering and processing of chicken is usually through over 10 processes such as electric discharge-bloodletting-feathers removal-evisceration-rinse-pre-cooling-cutting-weighing-packing.During these processes,some contaminants like blood,bile and internal fecal will be attached to the chicken carcass surface easily,even though the chicken carcass will pass the rinsing process,some contaminants from the surface couldn’t be cleared completely,when these chicken carcasses with contaminants residues on the surface are sent to the spiral machine for pre-cooling or packaging with other cleaned chicken carcasses,it will influence the other products,which is damaged to the food security.At present,the detection of chicken carcass surface contaminants is taking two solution lines,artificial detection and biochemical detection.The artificial detection method is easily influenced by subjective factors,so it leads to a high error detection rate and low efficiency.Biochemical detection has a high accuracy but consume a lot of time,cumbersome,besides,it can’t realize the real-time online detection which won’t satisfy the production requirement.Therefore,in practical production,some new technologies should be taken to make the chicken carcass clean during the chicken slaughtering,it has very important significance for ensuring the healthy and safety of chicken products.A new real-time detection and processing equipment control system of chicken carcass surface contaminants is designed based on the technology of machine vision and image processing by crossing all the methods from both domestic and overseas research.The feature band of blood,bile and ileum fecal was determined by using hyper-spectral image of chicken carcass surface,and then using low-cost filter and industrial camera to collect image of chicken carcass surface online and developing a targeted spray system for cleaning of chicken carcass with contaminants on the surface.The main research work is as follows:1.Design of the overall systemCombined with the practical production field,the overall design of the real-time detection and processing equipment control system of chicken carcass surface contaminants,including hardware and software,is proposed based on design principles and technical standard,The hardware design include devices selection and communication while the software include platform building,the host and slave computer software design.2.Selection of feature band of chicken carcasses surface contaminantsIn the feature band,chicken carcasses surface contaminants and skin have a clear and good recognition effect.According to the curve information to determine the feature bands of blood,bile and ileum fecal,the average spectral reflection ratio curve of the hyper-spectral images on chicken carcass surface was analyzed by using ENVI software.3.Accurate recognition and targeted spray for contaminated chicken carcassThe surface feature images were firstly processed with the median filtering and gray enhancement.Then the binarized images were obtained by using Ostu automatic thresholding.After the corrosion,expansion and void filling etc.operations were conducted on these images.At last,the number of pollutants Unicom area is calculated to prove the existence of the chicken carcass surface contaminants.An automatic targeted spray device is settled for contaminations on chicken carcasses surface.4.Test of systemThe chicken carcass surface contaminants online detection and processing equipment control system are installed on the slaughtering processing production line,then the system is run with a good result.The experimental results showed that the total average correct ratio was 91.5%when this system was used to detect three contaminations on the surface of chicken carcass,implying that this system could be used for online detection of contaminants on chicken carcass surface with high detection accuracy and reliability. |
