To the realization of Ⅳ diesel quality upgrading on schedule,the author puts forward to reduce sulfur content,improve the cetane number,reduce the content of aromatic hydrocarbon were the bottleneck of diesel quality upgrading,.Two diesel hydrotreating appliances of Jingmen Petrochemical could not reach the purpose of Ⅳ diesel quality upgrading by improving the reaction severity.The appliances should be reformed for the purpose of achieving diesel quality upgrading.The bottleneck of the production of low sulfur diesel were analyzed,the sulfur content of diesel 2# diesel hydrotreating unit under the existing conditions could not reach 50 ppm.The relating reformation must be implemented.2# diesel hydrogenation unit was suggested to reform by RTS technology,that the appliance were increased a RTS reactor,and adapted the new catalyst.After reformation,2# diesel hydrogenation unit successfully produced Ⅳ standard diesel.At the same time,the bottleneck of production of low aromatics,high cetane value the diesel was analyzed.The relating reformation of 1# diesel hydrotreating unit must be implemented.The catalyst grading technology was implemented.The reforming catalyst was put into the reactor,for the purpose of removal of aromatic hydrocarbon,increasing cetane number.After reformation,1# diesel hydrotreating unit successfully produced low aromatic,high cetane value diesel.The goal of Ⅳ diesel quality upgrading was achieved in economic and scientific way.It has accumulated a wealth of experience for the improvement of the quality of diesel oil.
