Research Of Sihe Ruyi Adorning For Shoulder And Application In Fashion Design

Adorning for shoulder is a delicate and unique artistic treasure in Chinese traditional costume. It has a great variety in its shapes, of which Sihe Ruyi is the most typical, widely used for long.It has a very high research value,because it expresses the art language of the traditional dress in its exquisite patterns, rich colors, unique technology and profound cultural background.The author has researched the subject more objectively through a large number of information collection of adorning for shoulder and referenced by related humanities. The thesis discussed on its concept, source and the form development process.The author has conducted a more objective and in-depth study according to the content of the subject.Through observing,wearing,photo taking,measuring,design drawing of adorning for shoulder kept in our school national costume museum,the author analyzes objectively Sihe Ruyi.,and has the feeling and impression of it directively according to the firsthand materials. and thus the author can analyze the value objectively in its art and design.At the end of the thesis, the author states the feasibilities in structure shape, the artistic value, the mixture with modern dress design.And the author does it as graduation design practice, aiming at mixturing the traditional adorning for shoulder into modern dress design, bringing the inspiration and thinking about combination between traditional and modern design,and coordinating continously the design of the modern way of wearing from the rhythmic beauty of traditional clothing culture, embodying the traditional dress of artistic beauty, which is reinterpreting of the classic under the background of new era.
