Selenium with antioxidant and raise the level of the body's immune and alleviateheavy metal toxicity,anti-aging,prevent cancer antitumor,resistance to disease ofheart head blood-vessel,etc on the human body and animal important physiologicalfunctions.But selenium deficiency in our country is serious,which has causedwidespread awareness and attention.Biological selenium is selenoproteins,seleniumamino acids,selenium and other biological macromolecules polysaccharidessynthesised by microbial metabolism,After ultrasonic broken dialysis to obtain amixture of these biological macromolecules,these organic compounds safe,moreeasily absorbed conversion and utilization.Its research and commercial productionmust be the Gospel of selenium to human health.The main content of this paper is tested sodium selenite and safety toxicology testorganisms selenium from three aspects,conducted a preliminary evaluation for bothacute toxicity,genotoxicity and sub-chronic toxicity of a preliminary evaluation,obtained toxicological properties of both.In acute toxicity tests,the oral dose of selenite experimental group is 5.56,8.33,12.50,18.75,28.12,42.19mg/kg bw,semi-lethal dose of sodium selenite isLD50=21.17mg/kg,SlgLD50=0.0534,95%confidence limit=16.63?26.94mg/kgcalculated according to mortality.According to the classification standard,acutetoxicity of sodium selenite belongs to level 5?highly toxic?.Acute toxicity were measured of biological selenium for fermentation time of onemonth,three-month and six-month,the oral dose of selenium concentration is 5240,7860,11790,17685mg/kg bw,according to the mortality the final biological seleniumhalf-lethal dose respectively:Semi-lethal dose of biological selenium offermentation time a month LD50=7402 mg/kg;Semi-lethal dose of biologicalselenium of fermentation time three-month LD50=9153 mg/kg;Semi-lethal dose ofbiological selenium of fermentation time six-month LD50=11795mg/kg,SlgLD50=0.0557,95%confidence limit=9171?15159mg/kg.According to theclassification standard,biological selenium belongs to secondary?actual non-toxic?.In the genetic toxicity test,Sodium selenite used by 1/2 LD50,1/4 LD50,1/8 LD50,I.e.10.59,5.29,2.65mg/kg bw,respectively,as high school low-dose group.Cyclophosphamide 40mg/kg bw orally as a positive control group,distilled water asnegative control group.Biological selenium experimental group use fermentation timeof six months,1/2 LD50,1/4LD50,1/8LD50,I.e.5.89,2.95,1.47g/kg bw,respectively,as high school low-dose group,Cyclophosphamide 40mg/kg bw orally as a positivecontrol group.Finally it is concluded that sodium selenite can rise the mouse bonemarrow micronucleus rate and sperm aberration rate.Biological selenium mouse bonemarrow micronucleus rate,no significant difference in sperm aberration ratecompared with the negative control group.Compared with the negative control group,the rate of bone marrow micronucleus and sperm aberration of biological seleniummice have no significant difference.In 30 days feeding trial,sodium selenite group set 1.41mg/kg,2.12mg/kg,3.16mg/kg three doses,biological selenium group set 786.3mg/kg,1179.5mg/kg,1769.3mg/kg,control group distilled water every day.Finally it is concluded thatsodium selenite experimental slow weight gain in mice,viscera than falling,bloodbiochemical indices and blood routine indexes have varying degrees of abnormality;mice body weight,viscera,blood biochemical indices and blood routine index ofbiological selenium experimental group have no significant difference relative to thenegative control group.
