Application Research Of Quadrotor Aircraft In A Power Plant Typical Environmental Monitoring

Abstract/Summary:
Along with the continuous increase of power plants in our country, the quadrotor-based integrated atmospheric pollution monitoring has become the research emphasis of current environmental monitoring of power plants. The main pollutants of power plants are coal-smoke SO2 gas and soot particles, while soot particles are the primary reason of forming haze, which has brought numerous harms to human and social development. Therefore, design of a more comprehensive typical environmental monitoring system of power plants plays a significant role in healthy development of thermal power plants. This paper takes a certain power plant as research background. On the basis of current environmental monitoring technology, applied research and design of quadrotor aircraft has been conducted in typical environmental monitoring of power plants by utilizing software and hardware such as AERMOD atmospheric diffusion model, quadrotor aircraft, GPRS wireless communication network, GPS positioning technology, smoke automatic acquisition system and ground monitoring station etc. Their main duties are as follows:Firstly, specific to ambient atmospheric pollution diffusion problems of power plants, AERMOD model has been selected as the atmospheric diffusion model of this region. High altitude meteorological data provided by Wyoming University and meteorological data provided by local meteorological bureau have been taken as the basis for calculation, analyzing the distribution of smoke pollutant concentration in the surroundings of the power plant and establishing representative region of power plant’s environmental pollution.Secondly, in this paper, typical environmental atmospheric pollution class has been predicted. The weight that affects various factors of AEIA has been calculated by taking advantage of vector similarity theory. In addition, the close degree between typical environmental smoke concentration and pollution standard has been calculated by utilizing fuzzy technology in combination with each weight to complete comprehensive evaluation and prediction of the power plant’s typical environmental pollution level.Finally, in this paper, by taking the method of combining light and electricity as the main means for detecting exhaust gas of the power plant, we have developed atmospheric environment monitoring platform of smoke automatic acquisition, GPS, GPRS wireless communication under the carrier of quadrotor aircraft and also ground station of environmental monitoring by combining LabVIEW with Access database. On the basis of completing simulation design of system’s software and hardware platforms, typical algorithms like quaternion and Kalman filtering etc. have been used in space attitude solution of quadrotor. After PID flight control algorithm being adjusted and outputting to 4 brushless motor drive controllers, arbitrary flight of quadrotor in environmental space of the power plant has been achieved.
