| The phase compensation algorithm shows significant effects in modal vibration suppression of flexible rotors supported by active magnetic bearings. This paper applied the algorithm in vibration suppression of strips and carried out the research based on strip‘s magnetic vibration suppression system. Firstly, the finite element model of strip was established using Patran and the influence of preload and geometric parameters on the strip‘s modes was studied. The theoretical model of electromagnet-strip was derived based on linearization of the electromagnetism force. The co-simulation of strip‘s magnetic vibration suppression system was carried out. The results showed that the finite element model contains more accurate modal information than the theoretical model and phase compensators can significantly suppress the modal vibration of strips. Secondly, the influence of phase compensators‘ parameters on their characteristics was analyzed through simulation. The principle of phase compensators‘ vibration suppression was demonstrated through the comparison of equivalent stiffness and damping between common system and system with phase compensators. Finally, a strip‘s magnetic vibration suppression system test bench was built and its performance was tested. Experimental research was conducted on strip‘s vibration suppression system from the perspective of amplitude suppression and phase shaping. The results showed that the errors between strip‘s modal information in simulations and experiments are within 14%. The static and dynamic performance of strip‘s magnetic vibration suppression system is qualified. The phase compensator with appropriate phase lead angle and compensating field can reduce the first modal vibration by 89.2%.The first two modal vibration can be reduced respectively by 81% and 82.6% using two phase compensators. |
