Abstract/Summary:
The 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl derivatives were widely known as ultraviolet absorbent for polymer materials against degradation by light and oxygen. They are always one of the most attractive fields of polymer stabilizers due to their excellent photo-stabilization efficiency.The synthesis of UV-4050 H, a ultraviolet absorbent with high thermal stability and low volatility, were researched in this thesis. Through research on the selection of N-formamide reagent and optimization of technological process, the synthesis technology of UV-4050 H was established. When the N,N’-Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl) hexane-1,6-diamine and formamide was used as reactants in a ratio of 1:2.3, catalyzed by formic acid and boric acid, the goal product was prepared in a yield of 95.5% after reflux in toluene for 6 h.The synthesis of UV-HA88, a new kind of ultraviolet absorbent, was also researched in this thesis. A key intermediate, N,N’-bis-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)butylamine was prepared from triacetonediamine and N-butylamine through reductive amination catalyzed by Pd/C. Under optimum conditions, the yield of N,N’-bis-(2,2,6,6 Tetramethyl-4-Piperidyl)butylamine is up to 95%. According to the characteristics of cyanuric chloride and N,N’-di(3-Aminopropyl)-1,2-ethylenediamine, three different synthetic processes for HA88 were designed. The synthetic process of HA88 intermediate was studied using N-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)butylamine and cyanuric chloride and N,N’-di(3-Aminopropyl)-1,2-ethylenediamine as the starting material.
