1-p-tolylethanone ? 2-p-tolylpropan-2-ol ? 4-isopropylbenzoic acid and 4-isopropylbenzaldehyde are widely used as food additives and intermediate of pesticide and medicine. These compounds were synthesized by various approachs, in which, the application and development of green catalysts metalloporphyrins have possessed advantages to degrade or eliminate the use of dangerous substances. In this thesis, A solvent-free green oxidation of p-cymene catalyzed by metalloporphyrins with different central metal ions has been described. Fe, Co, Mn-metalloporphyrins are synthesized and choosed as catalysts. The observed catalytic activity as well as other reaction parameters that influenced the oxidation behavior, such as reaction temperature, reaction time, oxygen pressure and Al/V(molar ratio), are also examined in detail. In third part, the GC quantitative analysis of the reaction mixture was carried out with the external standard method using the calibration-curve technique. The reaction mixture were separated and purificed with column chromatography and characterized by means of 1H NMR, 13 C NMR, and IR spectrum. The results show that 1-methyl-4-(prop-1-en-2-yl)benzene, 1-p-tolylethanone, 2-p-tolylpropan-2-ol, 1-(2-hydroperoxypropan-2-yl)-4-methylbenzene, 4-isopropylbenzoic acid, 4-isopropylbenzaldehyde, 4-isopropylphenyl methanol were the products. The possible hypothesis of reaction mechanism was proposed. In the fourth part, the catalytic activity of metalloporphyrins of Co is the best among Fe, Co, Mn metalloporphyrins. T(p-OCH3)PPCoCl and T(p-Cl)PPCoCl are the better catalysts. The experimental results show that optimum reaction conditions are: the dosage of catalyst T(p-OCH3)PPCoCl 0.3 mmol/L and p-cymene 0.06 mol, 2.0 MPa of oxygen pressure, 90/110 ?. In optimum conditions, the percent conversion of p-cymene is 43.4%, the selectivity of compound 3 and 4 are 40.5% and 24.6% respectively at 90 ?. At 110 ?, the percent conversion of p-cymene is 43.4%, the selectivity of compound 2 and 1 are 47.6% and 25.4% respectively.Compared with the tradition synthesis method, the solvent-free green oxidation of p-cymene catalyzed by metalloporphyrins have the advantages with less catalyst consumption, less spending and less pollution.
