Electroplated diamond wire is a kind of cutting tool,and the diamond abrasives of which are consolidated on the steel wire by the method of electroplating.And it is widely used in cutting hard and brittle materials, especially in silicon crystal materials. The wire exists the following problems in the process of preparation:?The life of diamond abrasives with metal layer is too short in tank.?The diamond abrasives is easy to be stacked and aggregated on the wire saw in the process of grit-planting.In order to improve the above problems, writer has done the following works in the fild of electroless Ni-W-P on the diamond and its application on diamond wire,and the research shows taht:1. Steel sheet specimen of Ni-W-P and Ni-P coating were prepared,and the morphology, microstructure and properties of Steel sheet specimen were studied. The results show that,?The hardness and corrosion resistance of Ni-W-P coating are better than that of Ni-P coating.?With the increase of W content of the coating, the hardness of Ni-W-P coating will increase. However, its corrosion resistance will decrease with the increase of W content. ?In this experiment, when the content of Ni?W and P in the Ni-W-P coating were 86.15%, 1.05% and 12.80%, the comprehensive performance of coating is best.2.The specimens of Ni-W-P coating which have been treated with different temperature were studied,and the results show that,?With the increase of heat treatment temperature, the hardness of Ni-W-P coating increased first and then decreased,and the corrosion resistance of the coating decreased firstly and then increased; ?When the heat treatment temperature is 350 ?, the comprehensive performance of Ni-W-P coating is best.3.The corrosion and wear test of diamond abrasives with metal coating was carried out. The results show that, compared to the Ni-P coating, the diamond abrasives with Ni-W-P coating are more complete and less corrosion and wear.4.The electroplated diamond wire saw was prepared, and its surface morphology and properties were tested. The results show that, ?The surface of wire coating is smooth,and the distribution of e diamond abrasives on the wire saw is more uniform. ?The torsion strength and tensile strength of wire saw in the related experiment to meet the requirements of industry.?The surface of the diamond abrasives on the wire saw were not fall off, and diamond abrasives firmly consolidated on the steel line.
