As the construction of city and development of economy,there is an increase trend of high altitude cleaning practitioner number along with demand on professional overalls.Kinds of overalls,like ordinary cleaning overalls and camouflage coats even raincoats fill in the markets,leading to nonstandard operation as well as weak safety guarantee.There are few standards on uniform overall domestically and internationally.Therefore,it's necessary to develop a professional overall with safety,ergonomics and comfortableness.Based on the field survey,this paper collects the classic motions and analyzes the functional requirement of overalls.Choose the T/C material as the main part combined with acid proofing material for local protective design.According to the motion characteristics,make suitable pattern which contains specially design in shoulder department,using insert design,elastic material design and plait design to optimize the overalls.Make four samples as adding one no local design overall.This paper evaluates the ergonomic performance through three aspects.In terms of validity of design,insert design and elastic material design are reasonable in ease.There is a deviation between actual needed ease and experimental data in plait design which performs worse than other two kinds.In terms of physical activity flexibility,the new overalls show a lower clothing pressure and weaker sensation than current one.It indicates a good correlation coefficient of 0.776 between subjective and objective results.The biggest activity angle has increased 9°-27° than current overall.2#demonstrates the best comprehensive evaluation,1#and 3#perform closely,better than 4#.All of the new overalls perform a better physical activity flexibility than current one.In terms of cover protective function,the shrinkage of current overall sleeve reveals greater than new overalls,reaching to 24.4cm.The shrinkage degree of 3#is smallest while 1#is worse than 2#and 3#.All of the new overalls perform a better cover protective function than current one.Insert design not only matches the thick materials of A/W overalls,but also possesses good performance,therefore,1#should be the best choice for high altitude cleaning overall;The elastic material of 2#can be used as a design method in other overalls;The deviation of validity of design in 3#and shortage of plait design make it circumscribed to be used.In terms of evaluation methods,this paper summarizes a set of motion process model for high altitude cleaning work research and establishes a method for ergonomic performance evaluation of overalls.Based on physical activity flexibility and cover protective function,it uses clothing pressure,activity angle and exposure degree of hands as objective indicators along with subjective experiments to give an effective evaluation on ergonomic performance of high altitude cleaning overalls.The conclusions of the paper provides reference on style design,cloth pattern and humanistic factor considerations of high altitude cleaning overall as well as other functional protective clothing for cleaning companies.It also provides a method of experiment design and evaluation for ergonomic performance research on high altitude cleaning overall.
