Chemiluminescence (CL) analysis has been widely investigated because of its outstanding advantages, including high sensitivity, wide linear range, simple equipment and facilitated automation. However, the relatively low CL intensity partially hindered its application in analytical fields. In recent years, nanomaterials amplified CL has attracted growing attention. As a novel synthetic method, reverse microemulsion method has been widely applied to synthesize uniform inorganic nanomaterials with improved property. In this study, we synthesized layered double hydroxides (LDHs) with uniform size distribution via reverse microemulsion method and applied them to catalyze CL reactions. The main works of this thesis are shown as follows:1. Using LDHs catalyzed luminol-H2O2 CL system as a model; we synthesized LDHs in reverse microemulsion with different uniformities and invesitigated the influence of nanomaterial’s uniformity on CL reactions for the first time. The results indicated the uniformity of LDHs play a vital role on the CL reactions. The LDHs with good uniformity possessed more catalyze active sites and preferred higher CL intensity. The uniform LDHs catalyzed luminol-H2O2 CL system could be used as a biosensor for glucose detection in human plasma samples with good reliability. In addition, the uniform LDHs enhanced CL emission was also applicable to other CL systems (e.g., peroxynitrous acid CL system). Therefore, the uniform nanomaterial catalyzed CL reactions is universal.2. We synthesized uniform LDHs in reverse microemulsion for S101 dye molecules adsorption, and the resulting S101@LDHs reverse microemulsion can be used to catalyze TCPO-H2O2 CL reaction. We studied the mechanism through XRD, DLS, TEM, UV-vis, polarized photoluminescence and fluorescence lifetime techniques, and also applied this CL system into biological mercapto amino acids detection.
